It is with great sadness that I post a R.I.P notice for the sad passing of John Booth aged just 60.

John originally from Hackenthorpe left the country to make a new life on the outskirts of San Francisco back in the 80's.

Never forgetting his roots John regularly came back to Sheffield to visit his much loved friends & family; every time John and his wife Judy were over in Sheffield they paid a visit or 2 to BDTBL to see his beloved Blades and his last game was the 1-0 defeat to Coventry.

John sadly passed away of a heart attack in the early hours of the 4th of November while on a visit to Sheffield from the U.S. John will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

A big RIP to John
Great family, hope his life is celebrated in true Booth style today
Best wishes from Browny

Sad news.

RIP and condolences to all :(

R.I.P. John

At 60 he was a few years older than me but it's very poignant to think he would have experienced the same highs and lows that I did watching the Blades in the 1960s and 1970s.
