Never really amounted to anything did it?

The problem probably was that any player we would have liked to have taken on loan would have required a work permit. It was an interesting idea mind, and the debate as to whether we should explore signing overseas players is still going on.

One of the reasons I bring this up is that I have somehow bagged a last minute trip going there next month, and its a long-shot but I wonder if anyone knows if the club/supporters still has any links/contacts?

In any event I'll let you know how I get on ;)

I've just looked up going to a game and realized that Colin Kazim Richards plays for their neighboring Sport Club Corinthians. Unfortunately Sao Paulo don't have a home game whilst I'm there but Corinthians do so who knows!

I've heard of teams finding pretty tenuous links to European ancestors to get South American players over to Europe, similar to how we brought Elian Parrino over.

Successive Tory governments have made it nigh on impossible to get Visas for non-EU/non-Commenwealth citizens.

So not only is it harder to find people to wipe your grans arse in her nursing home, but we also can't find second rate Left Backs on the cheap..

All fell apart when one bloke died whose name escapes me. I think that sort of explains how strong the links were.

Remember Blackwell and Turry going over and coming back rambling on about how big all the youngsters were. Which again tells a story.

Blackwell also highlighted when he joined that he’d taken the opportunity of time out of the game to spend time learning coaching from major clubs around the world, including Brazil. Which is why we were truly served such a footballing treat during his time as manager.

I can’t answer your question but I don’t envy your trip to São Paulo. I’ve had the misfortune to go there twice in the last three years. I was asked to go again this year but managed to get out of it. It’s a horrendous, unsafe, slum of a city with terrible traffic problems. The 25 mile trip from airport to city can take over 3 hours. The barbecues are good though!

Saw this on another old article... that went well

And not a decent Chinese in sight.

I see through your well disguised holiday boast ;)

Yes but he understands "put the cones out" and "make the tea fuckwit" in twelve different languages.

Yeah so I was just wondering if we still have any contacts in outer space? I ask because I'm going on a trip to the moon next week and would very much like to explore any links further. Cheers.

I know your lying, because there are no shuttle departures scheduled for the moon from DSA next week. Ive. checked

True though! I wanted to go and have a wander around, thinking I’d see a few places of interest, do a bit of shopping find a few good bars or restaurants. I asked my host where to head for. She gave me a map and said “only go to these two streets, they’re fairly safe, don’t go wandering off too far from there”.

The company had us collected at the airport in a merc van with blacked out windows and bullet-proof glass because there’s been problems with gunmen on motorbikes attacking taxis with foreigners in them.

There’s not a lot to commend it. Apart from the barbecue places, like “Fogo de Chau”, but they’ve got one of them in London!
