Hi Blades fans,
I'm a Walsall fan travelling up for the game tomorrow and was just wondering where is the best place to park? Is there parking at the grounfd or is it a case of just parking in the street? Any help would be great.
Good luck for the season ( apart from tomorrow0 and congratulations on winning the league 1 title ( we all know it's gonna happen :-))

Evening,

Parking isn't great since the council introduced a parking permit scheme around the Lane.

Your best bet is getting there early doors and parking on the side roads a short walk away somewhere like - Here

Failing that, there are various car parks in the city centre (a short walk) or you could park at the park and ride at Meadowhall and get the train/Supertram to within walking distance of the lane.

Hope you enjoy the trip (barring 90 minutes of it of course)!

What are your honest predictions for tomorrow?

If you've got Sat Nav head for City road or Granville road. Lots of free parking within 10 minute walk to the ground.

You'll pass the Queens club on the way in (Queens road) which despite being a shit hole is friendly and will serve you three pints for around £5...:)

theres a multi storey car park on arundel gate that isnt too bad if you get here late.

As we will be without 2 of our best players (pending an appeal), on our forum http://forum.web-fans.com/viewforum.php?f=73 I went for a 4-1 defeat. I hope i'm wrong but our discipline has been bad this season and that could cost us. 8 yellow and 2 red cards in 3 games so far.

I'm hoping to get there about 6.30ish

Foxy - how early would you have to park up around there to get a free parking space (both Saturday's and midweek)? I wouldn't mind using the Golden Lion pre match.

As attendances are down, some of the regulars who park in Queens Social Club car park are no longer there. We arrived at 2.20 Saturday and there was plenty of parking. Also, next door to there you can park for £4, a pound down from last season :) You can also park in the ice-rink car park for a fee, just off Queens Road. Ten minute walk to the ground, just follow the crowds. :)

Damn, I thought this was a thread about Parkin...

Most on here would disagree with where you think where we will finish this season. Some were even talking relegation

I had a dream last night we were 4-0 down by half time....

Queens Road Retail Park (Dreams, United Carpets etc), is £3.00. For visiting fans from south straight on to Chesterfield Rd to J29. Just have to walk past the kop to get there!!

council depot on charlotte road/heeley bank road is secure and free.5 minute walk to ground.

Well,if you're still here?? I thought you made a very good account of yourselves tonight. Deserved the 2 goal lead, probably should've been 3 up at half time but we rode our luck and eventually it paid off.

Think it gave us a wake up call to be honest. Thought first half you boss it. That No. 11 looked good, where's he from?

As Danny Wilson said Walsall crumbled when the crowd lifted so Blades... we've gotta get behind them and make it a fortress as it once was.

Hard lines Rugby saddler - Honestly !

agree with that Matt. We didnt start until they went 2 up. On another day it could have been 5-0

I thought Quinn was exellent tonight total commitment. Slew on the other hand was poor IMO.

Doyle and Willo changed the game.

Can't believe you said that !! I agree with you but you can't say that on this forum !:tut:

Williamson came on and set a goal up Saturday too. Last night he set one up, scored and won a penalty. I'd start him instead of Mendez-Laing next game

He was involved in the build up to the second. He held the ball up and made a pass to McDonald who played a through ball to Lowton. As Laing was involved in the build up to Lowton's finish that was ruled a hand ball. I think Willo tends to look very uncomfortable on the right wing when starting there.

I think impact wise he'll do better, Laing has more pace to stretch the oppositions defence for longer periods of the game.
