Panic over

You are right, but I honestly think that the hierarchy and manager believed that the players would shake off last season and come out firing. It seems obvious now in hindsight that this was never going to happen.

The board and manager have given the players a chance, and they have not delivered so far. On that basis, I am prepared to give the Prince & co some rope, provided the rumoured signings are confirmed.

What cannot be excused away is the dreadful planning that led to just 2 pre season matches, which I also believe has significantly hampered our start.

If Fleck and Norwood are replaced, who knows ? maybe it gives them the kick up the arse needed. They've strolled around midfield without a care in the world for 18 months, we'll now see if it is just loss of form, lack of fitness or whether they genuinely don't give a toss.

Come to the conclusion HRH can't do right by some no matter what he does.
Loan signings this season after the Pandemic is spot on -
1/
if a club wants to move a player on but nobody is willing to pay their price. it will probably not be till the end of the window before their open to loans.
2/
This could really suits us this season and just think, if we had had our big money signings on loan first, it would have saved a hell of a lot of money... ;)

lets not go overboard. they are loans we have 25m in the back for ramsdale & it took jokanovic to embarrass the board & issue an ultimatum in public to get things done

I think it's more a case of they aren't any good any more rather than they don't care.

Problem is when we sign seven players before deadline day and then don't sign anyone on the last day it still goes ballistic.
Agreed, but in those circumstances it’s the fans that are fools. No sensible person can make a case for this being a professional start to the season.

Yes, the pre season planning was unforgivable.

But without being smart, anyone who didn’t think last seasons squad needed freshening up needs to give their head a wobble too.

And if Mousset ever completes 90 mins that'll be like another signing

Again, hard to argue with that.

I think the clustef**k landed somewhere between being happy to wait for player sales before buying anyone, and not even entertaining the prospect that we would start quite so badly. I hold my hand up and admit I was guilty of the latter too.

They can stroll about when there's no challenge for the shirt, hopefully that changes soon.

Yann Karamoh...

Tricky winger.? Tick
International ? Tick
Black ? Tick

Gerrim in !!
🙂🙂🙂
Had a look at him on utube to good for us 😆 but seriously if the gibb-white karamoh and olsen the keeper deals are got over the line id be more than happy with this transfer window.

We've written off a chunk of the season with relegation form, and now need to (at best) bed in three or four new players as the season continues
11%. I mean sure it’s a chunk, but it’s a fucking tiny chunk comparatively and I still maintain some of these players would not have been available to us earlier in the window. The question is are they worth waiting for, instead of those lower quality players who’ve gone to the likes of Birmingham? We’ll have to wait and see.
What we also know with a reasonable amount of assurance is we were after some even higher calibre players, who either went elsewhere (not Championship) or whom picked up injuries so went nowhere.

I think people can criticize a lot of things but transfer ambition and delivery whilst under the Prince's stewardship can't be one of them. It's not his fault that Wilder made dreadful acquisitions he gave him much much more than McCabe ever would of.

The only way that happens is if three other players get injured in a game before he does. Even then he’d probably end up having emergency surgery in the centre circle while we pass the ball around him.
