Just heard palace have fielded and ineligible player for 5 games.

cant remember which but is registered at Chelsea, been on loan to QPR, Charlton and now palace.

Points deduction????

Don't see why he's ineligible?

It's only a loan agreement so there's no limit on how many teams he can have played for.

your only allowed to be registered for 3 clubs per season i thought? was on talk sport.

Yeah, registered doesn't include loans. A loan player is always registered to his parent club :)

ah, just passing on from TS ;)

I always thought you could only play for 3 clubs in one season.

"FIFA only allows a player to play for 2 different clubs between 1 July and 30 June. You can be registered with 3 different clubs, but can only actually play for 2 of them. This was the whole issue with Masch originally (which in turn led to the Tevez-gate revelations). Masch was given special dispensation, but there was never any suggestion that it would be OK to play for more than 2 clubs so long as it is on loan deals."

Well Scott Sinclair has played for 4 clubs this season.

This is fine, remember Stead last season? Hurst?

As Mousey states, loans don't count.

Alan Wright?

Yeah, we had this discussion earlier on in the season when the West Ham fans were trying to claim we had also cheated by playing Stead. Clubs who loan a player never own their registration. The relevant FIFA directive is somewhere around on this forum, if anyone would care to find it :)
