weerz signings?
IDK about collectively but I think the Barnsley fan who started the rumour (either as a windup or misconstruing the context of that snapchat- it was sent to everyone) on Twitter could be charged.

I know nothing about slander / libel law, so does anybody know the legality of thousands of people repeatedly accusing somebody on live television of an illegal activity? Not to mention on social media.
Deano takes it well on the outside - but it’s not something you want to start to be associated with your name - and I would think his parents get quite upset by it.
He'll shag who he wants. Some of the pro Ched chants were equally warped. Self policing is probably the only solution.

Where the fuck have them dickheads even got that idea from? Bunch of fucktards!
I know and everyone apart from you knows that In fact it is part of regular football banter.Wjy not, this isn't part of regular football banter, calling someone a paedo can destroy careers. Leeds United are responsible for what takes place in their stadium, if I said it on television I could rightly be sued. Too much unacceptable behaviour is excused as 'part of football banter'. A few years ago some Blades fans sang a racist song about Bradford when playing Bradford City, United were clear in condemning it and that if there were any further chants fans would be identified. The next game against Bradford City I heard no such chants thankfully.
The story that came out was that he was talking to some 14 year-old girl on Snapchat. What we believe actually happened was that he posted something on Snapchat and one of the people that follows him is a 14 year-old girl who's parent didn't like what he posted
I agree with a lot of what you say in that post but there’s no way Hendo should be made to come off social media because some twats are complete wankers in life.To get back to the OP, it was nothing originally, just some bitter fan on Twitter having a pop at Deano after we’d beaten his team. It was a nothingness, laughable. What’s happened though is that someone posted about it on Porktalk and a while after some alleged Pigs started posting malicious comments, I assume to try and unsettle him before the derby. They’re the ones who need their collar’s feeling.
I have to say I don’t think Deano should have reacted to the Tweets as it just encouraged the scum, better to go down the legal road, in fact I wish he’d get off social media altogether. It’s alright saying it doesn’t seem to be unsettling him right now but he’s got to think long term.
I don't have any objections to 99% of what is said in a football ground. But making chants about someone being a paedophile is way beyond acceptable. You might be right about it not working, but I don't think clubs should just turn a blind eye. As I said, the attempts to stamp out racism has had mixed success, but I would say that it is a lot better than if no attempts had been made at all. The club saying beforehand that bans will be issued could have an impact, it is worth trying rather than just saying 'this will always happen' . People who make these revolting chants should be challenged.I know and everyone apart from you knows that In fact it is part of regular football banter.
One slip up and away fans are on it.
Your opinion is absolutely correct that it is wrong, it is sick etc. but are you seriously telling me that it will stop? Of course not and if you think it will you are living a delusional life.
Spurs fans singing racist chants about themselves having a Jewish following.
They have been asked for 20 years to stop and they don’t.
You also have to look at the class of the individual club when it comes to condemning their own fans. Leeds would not condemn one of their fans from sitting in the centre circle ....
If her dad is worried about what his daughter might see online then he should probably check on the apps she has on her phone instead of accusing someone of being a paedo because he doesn't understand the format.
I agree, but I didn’t say he should be made to do anything he didn’t want to, I just personally think he should have let it die down for a while and maybe put the matter in the hands of his solicitors regarding the twats that have been posting the stuff.I agree with a lot of what you say in that post but there’s no way Hendo should be made to come off social media because some twats are complete wankers in life.
They should be made to pay for their actions not Hendo, taking him off social media would be basically punishing him and a lot of his fans whilst all the cunts get away Scot free.
“Made” was the wrong word and in hindsight you’re probably right.I agree, but I didn’t say he should be made to do anything he didn’t want to, I just personally think he should have let it die down for a while and maybe put the matter in the hands of his solicitors regarding the twats that have been posting the stuff.
I actually saw the troll’s very first Tweets to Hendo. It was over a few weeks and I remember thinking a the time I hope other goons don’t pick up on this and it gets out of hand. What happened is that a Pig picked up on the Tweets and posted about it on Porktalk and suddenly he was getting Pigs tweeting abuse to him and abuse at games. Hendo just laughed at them but that of course just encouraged the scum on.
I’m not really concerned about his followers, they can bide their time, I was just thinking about his well-being mate. Staying off social media while it was sorted for me would have been a small price to pay to stop things getting out of hand.
I think we are agreeing on the fact that it is a problem within supporters these days.I don't have any objections to 99% of what is said in a football ground. They’d struggle to use the truth defence based on the fact he isn’t a peadophileMy memory of the law is a bit hazy since I studied it but there is also a defence based on forming an opinion from true or established facts, which you could fall back on, I.e “he sent that image out to everyone and I think it’s wrong.”
Basically they’re never going to sue a huge group of fans which, unfortunately, means they’ll get away with it.
