Sounds too much like Marcus Mumford for my liking...

Fucking hell Gene Simmons has really let himsen go

A strong Midfield general rather than flair is what I reckon we should prioritise.

We've got one.
Fleck.

Runs the show....and can play any role asked of him in the middle of midfield. Attack or defence...it matters not.

He will show why I rate him as one of if not the best midfield players in the division, and the best I have ever seen in a blades shirt. Better than Brown, McCall....all of em

G'wan Griz, just say you love him, nowt to be ashamed of, just let the love flow and tell the world the depth of your feelings for Flecky!

Not gonna lie....I think he's reckon brilliant.
I LOVES a midfielder me!!

Couldn't agree more mate, although I don't wish to add to what may or may not happen to Fleck, I do think that with decent players around him he'll compete at a far higher level than he's been used to. Got a bit of everything, technically excellent, his decision making is good, and not afraid of putting his foot in, let's hope his future is with the Blades, 'cos if that's the case it suggests we'll progress and gain promotion at some point.

Fuck the outfield, gera keeper in!

He's the best midfielder Scotland has, and that is a fact.
We need to hope we can keep up with his ambitions, because I too think he would flourish in a top premier league side.
Got the lot, and going to get even better

I agree on Fleck, just think he's better when he's not pinned down to a particular role, let him go box to box. Would just like to see a big, physically strong powerhouse as an option in there. None of our midfielders are defensive specialist which I think we will need next season.

All abart opinions, but I'm an advocate of midfielders doing everything well.
I don't like a specialist defensive midfielder, for me they are players not good enough to do the full job.
I believe Wilder is of a similar opinion to be fair, so I will be very surprised if he plays a system to accommodate a CDM never mind signs one.

I agree to an extent. Fleck is fine covering for Coutts when Coutts pushes on, but Coutts barely covers at all when Fleck pushes on. We conceded at least 3 goals last season when Coutts just allowed people to stroll past him.

As well as being a problem in itself, it must also restrict the situations when Fleck is comfortable pushing on.

We may not need a purely defensive midfielder, but we do need somebody else who is more capable than Coutts in playing that role when necessary.

I don't remember much about Leonard from watching him, but it sounds as though he's the type that I think that we need.

The last few pieces to find to finish the Magic jigsaw.

Fleck is great but he isn't the midfield hard man that we should be looking to add. We don't have anyone at club who can play that role and we need one.

This thread was about Oztumer. He's not a midfield hard man either but I would be really excited about us signing him. He's the best midfielder I've seen at L1 level for a long, long time. What a brilliant technical player he is. I hope we go for him now that Holmes is staying put. He's a far better player than Holmes imo.

Agree really Leonard but we are trying to buy him for ten bob too so may end up with a similar outcome to the Holmes one

Let's not forget that Rolls-Royce of a footballer Paul Coutts, pivotal to everything our team does, in the race to find the next Nick Fucking Montgomery.

This thread was about Oztumer.

A fact that could easily have been forgotten if you read the last few comments!

I can't pretend that I've followed his career closely, but from what I've seen, I reckon he could do some good in this division and I reckon he has a similar work rate to Holmes. Younger too.

Can I help you sir?

You seem a little confused there. Are you on the right thread?

What about having a sit down for a few minutes and a nice cup of tea.......

They nicknamed him "The Turkish Messi". Which is probably taking things too far, because Messi isn't Turkish.
