Why on that particular minute? I would if I was there, he sounds like a total nightmare. If they stop going to games though he'll have to throw towel in sooner or later as the money will run out at some point.

I suspect it's because that's when they won the cup in the "Matthews Final".

The Blackpool fans are wanting Blades to chant Oyston out on 53 minutes tomorrow.

I think they need all the help they can get before they don't have a club to protest about.
I've no intention of getting involved in other clubs ownership issues, fuck em.

I'll spend the 53rd minute laughing at them though if that helps

they also want Blackpool to win. I hope they don't get that either

I'll happily do it, twattish owners are a problem for football as whole and power should be in the hands of those who give a shit about their club.

Having said that, if we're drawing or losing on 53 minutes then I'm gonna find it a bit hard to get worked up about Oyston, I'll be busy screaming at our lot.

Apparently this is something they have been doing for quite a while now. They did it last season in the Championship and it made Sky Sports News because it was Derby County away and all four sides of the ground were chanting it. They have been sending multiple Tweets out asking fans to both boycott all games up at their place and to join them in chanting for Oyston's head when they play away as an "appreciation to the Blackpool fans who have still attended and put money into our coffers.

I do feel for them as a fan and all that.

My old house mate at uni is a massive Blackpool fan and sent me this if you're interested in knowing more;

We ought to get behind it. We had some shocking chairman in the past with Paul Woolhouse, Mike McDonald etc along with the Sam Houshimi saga. Its nothing compared to what they are having to put up with.

I don't mind it away from home as it sends out a statement but at home, it seems to be sung with less enthusiasm and ends up, IMO being a bit dreary.

And don't even get me started on the intro when Annie's Song is played :rolleyes:
Got to agree with ya fella stage managed and boring makes the blades fans look like a load of sheep following Sinclair

I really can't understand what makes Coventry and Blackpool think they're special. We've had shit owners over the years and probably worse than blackpool. Christ, we've been down in this division with apparently better owners whilst the oystens took Blackpool to the PL and back.

I remember a night match and Micalijo posted a match report before the end of the game, we were losing heavily to Blackpool. I doubt that Blackpool fans would've joined our plight to chant McCabe out that night!

Blackpool fans turned up in (relative) numbers in the premier league and as I've said before, they were quite happy to enjoy their time with Oysten in the PL.

So if it was Rochdale or another club that's struggled I'd perhaps back it, but not a club like Blackpool.
