No, I read what some Oxford fans were saying each of the many times he was linked with us. "Have him" or "I'll drive him" were amongst the suggestions. His Oxford team was dull, basic and no better than workmanlike. That's my opinion. I saw them.
But that is not what you said yesterday. You said he didn't do "particularly well". This was a statement of opinion from you and you didn't attribute this to Oxford fans.
I've pointed out he got them promoted in his first full season, so now you tell us it's all about what 'some' (presumably unsubstantiated), Oxford fans said.
You made something up and instead of admitting it, you are now blaming 'some Oxford fans'.
Not much point continuing with this is there?
Incorrect - most Oxford fans dislike him now because he left for Northampton after Oxford continuously stalled on a new contract and then only offered a 1 year extension. They didn't want him to leave at the time no matter what you read.
Ever since he started at Bradway FC, he's left every club he's managed in a better state and higher league position that when he joined
And wasn't Hodgy goalkeeping coach there for a while?I would have thought that Oxford & Wilder would both have fond memories and mutual respect from their time together. It was Chris who brought them back from the abyss of non-league football. I don't expect any favours though.
Spotted that, planning to take alternative route after A43.Accident on M40 both ways for those travelling that way! Not hit the traffic yet but signs saying long delays.

It wont be an accident. It'll be the queue of traffic wanting to get to Hillsborough tonight.Accident on M40 both ways for those travelling that way! Not hit the traffic yet but signs saying long delays.

From an outside perspective, I'd give it to you 2-0. (Or 0-2 to be politically correct.)
Think Wilder will be chomping at the bit for the result.
Would also be somewhat poetic justice if Wright was to surprisingly find himself on the scoresheet against his former employers, was his last goal a decade ago? Believe it was us that gave him to Oxford, he's come a long way since then.
Meanwhile I'm crapping it about an away match against rock-bottom Rotherham as we try to throw it all away!
Carruthers disappointed again away from home yesterday. We need a disciplined midfield Tuesday for me.
You the Brighton fan I know that lives in Rotherfield by any chance?

We've drawn too many recently and it's now important to win this game after only managing a draw yesterday in a game most of us had down as a win.
Oxford could be without Rob Hall and Chris Maguire, their two key attacking players. It looks like Kane Hemmings and Curtis Nelson could also be missing. But as we saw yesterday, a weakened opponent is no guarantee of victory. They've lost their last two home games 2-0 to Southend and Bristol Rovers though which could be an encouraging sign.
Their pitch doesn't look great but it's nowhere near as cut up and bumpy as Rochdale's is. It looks much firmer.
I think Wilder will make some changes. It's exactly the sort of time to use the squad and we have good options. In addition to that both Hanson and Duffy picked up knocks yesterday, and Fleck seemed to pull something in the first half. I'd expect to see Carruthers or possibly O'Shea come in for Duffy, and maybe Lavery for Hanson. EEL to RCB and Basham into midfield wouldn't be a massive shock either.
