The next 2 against Ipswich and Millwall look write offs… Oxford is now massive.. just for confidence alone as Boro follows that up, another we can forget, then it’s Pompey away with or terrible record there.

We should beat Oxford at home, and the pigs at home.. but we are now under real pressure to do so, if we don’t….

I thought 10 days ago we were safe from the drop, now not so sure…

,, we should still stop up.. but then we should have stopped up in 80 in 88, In 94 in 2006… but we didn’t

We can’t risk it going to the wire we aren’t good at it.

This is what we’ve come too. A must win game against Oxford. What a shower this Club is becoming. From top to bottom.
Won seven out of ten matches before the postponement. Lost against Charlton due to two stupid reds. Poor this evening with a weak side still picking up the pieces from injuries and suspensions. Wilder has been fixing the errors of Selles. No need to overreact.

The average points total to avoid relegation is 47. So that's 5 wins.

As bad as this little dip is, we should easily get that when looking at the fixtures. There will be a few draws along the way too.

Still too early to rule anything out though, either way. I like the look of February's fixtures and with another good run, we might find ourself 6/7 points outside the playoffs going into March.

I agree that right now we are looking over our shoulders again.

He does need to give the fans confidence in the Summer though. I think we will stay up but he needs to get rid of the dross which could be at least 15 players. Let him build his own side, but if that doesn’t work, we’d would then need a change I think.

The goal difference will take a hammering on Saturday.

And its not beyond the impossible for us to lose to Oxford and Pigs.................remember Oxford and Plymouth last season.

Even I don’t think we will lose to the pigs.. but Oxford .. no longer a banker

I agree but he can’t just sack off a load of players mid-season without replacements. This season is about fixing the mess we made after the playoff final and at most making a run at the playoffs. That also means not over-extending on recruitment unfortunately.

Tonight we were starting our fourth choice centre back and our fourth choice central midfielder. They were playing alongside players who have only just returned after long layoffs. The spine of the team tonight was weak.

Every game is crucial not just Oxford we need to not get dragged into the bottom 4 now.

Wilder put out a weak team against Southampton tonight, saving our best team for Ipswich. We need to beat Ipswich, or we will be in a relegation battle. Wilder seems to have lost the plot this season.

Yeah said in Shoutbox.. not sure why we surrender a winnable game to save players for a game we look unlikely to get owt from…

This is what frustrates me because we’ll get smashed on Saturday no matter what teams out so tonight was points lost.
