Hawkes seems to have a touch of Roy Keane about him

Only if they have access to a De Lorean ??![]()
Let's be fair - it's impossible to tell at that age. Players you don't rate can kick on, whilst those who look the best can hit a ceiling.
The one thing I would say it that those who lack athleticism need to be exceptionally skilful to survive in the professional game. I've seen some wonderful technical footballers in the reserves who just don't cut it with the big boys - Graham Anthony and Connor Dimaio spring to mind. Whereas a player like Jagielka (and perhaps Ben Whiteman?), didn't always look the best on the ball but were clearly gifted with a good footballer's physique.
And Cammy Hawkes is another. Does the dirty side of the game and does it very well.
Well larkymasher we all know that you are the young Callum semples dad that's why you spend all you tweets talking about him and you also know too much about the 18 and 23I have watched this kid twice now and can see why the club have released all the other young left backs to make a pathway for him to try and get in the first team squad. Harsh on Alex Brown and Graham Kelly but that's football.
The boy must have 2 dads then and since I have watched a lot of under 23 and 18s games this season do I qualify as number 3?Well larkymasher we all know that you are the young Callum semples dad that's why you spend all you tweets talking about him and you also know too much about the 18 and 23

I am glad you are happy Grappler !!!!A quick thanks to all the posters (Larky, Treeton, Baw Heid, Ball Sup, etc.) who keep us updated on U18's and U23's players. I get to a few games a season, and always really enjoy it. Must admit I have a soft spot for our youngsters, most of whom give it a real good go, must be the paternal instincts in me.

Tyler Smith had a good game, especially second half, and up against physically bigger players showed good strength to go with his undoubted talent.
