Absolutely loving our new transfer strategy. Seems like we are now identifying targets early and contacting them/their clubs to steal a march on other teams. Anel looks a top top signing and how we've managed to get Mcatee I don't know. Great work from Betis and the board. Compared to the shit show of last season where we didn't seem to have a clue what we were doing, this has been a well thought out and executed plan. Early days, but the signs are very promising (and if we can get into some kind of good books with Man City, it can only bode well for the future).

I think a lot of it is down to Hecky. With his background in youth development and his handling of MGW and our own youth players has given him a solid reputation as a manager who’ll help to develop players and treat them correctly. And MGW enjoyed it so much he’s recommended us to the ones we’ve brought in. Got to give the fans a bit of credit too, MGW liked the way we took to him.
So, young players want to play for us and their managers trust Hecky to look after them.

As much as the club deserve credit it is largely only redemption for last summer's shitshow, and not only in the transfer market
What counts is what is happening today, not what happened a year ago, that’s gone. This year has set new standards, maybe lessons have been learned, if so that also deserves applause.

Yep, but last year can't just be forgotten, if they got it anything like right we'd be in the PL right now

This window can't be a one off

But we’re not, we are where we are. If you want to keep harping on about it that’s your choice, fill your boots. All you’ll achieve is upsetting yourself.

Won't upset myself at all

Also won't go overboard praising many of the same people responsible for last summer's shambles

It does look very good but it is predicated on going up this year fail to do so and loaning in so many will leave us short of flair players within the squad.

I’m not knocking it I’m very much looking forward to watching us this year I think we’ll be very exciting but it could be a bit of a double edged sword.

Agree, it's very exciting in terms of the season and not knocking it... but only one permanent. If we do not go up, our already in decline midfield will be out of contract, with the exception of Berge ( who will surely want to be off). Woukd have felt a lot better if we had one more permanent in midfield and attack...even if they initially need a bit of development.

I quite like the fact that both Khadra and McAtee were left on the bench.

You have to earn a spot here.

We’re not giving appearances away.

Got to do more than wave the shirt around in front of the cameras. That’s how it should be.
