What can you say about Duffy...if we don't have a like-for-like replacement in the squad now, we need to get one in January. It's not just the player (although he's a wonderful player) it's that role that is so important for our style of play. I'd accept not signing a striker in January if we sort this position out.

He’s not our BEST player but the one we cannot be without is Mark Duffy. We look a completely different, ineffective, lumbering side when he’s not playing.

Woodburn was supposed to step into his role but he's so far away it's laughable. Wilder can bring up backing all he likes but it was his mistake to go with Woodburn and nobody else to cover Duffy.
