I think Hecky has earned another full season even if we go down. And he'd be our best shot to get back up. New owners probably won't see it that way though if we are bottom in January
Incoming Neil Warnock next March šŸ™„

Please tell me why my ramblings are inane?
First of all, well done, you admit it, your post are rambling's.

rambling speech, meaning: a rambling speech or piece of writing is long and confusing. Most of your posts are long and confusing. As well as complete tripe.
inane: meaning: lacking sense or meaning. Which again describes your posts perfectly

Hope this makes things clear for you. Happy to help.

Best revival job ever seen at the Lane was by Nigel Clough.
The club was on its arse and we were absolute certainties to be going down to League 2 before he arrived. The cup runs weren't bad either.
Unsurprisingly not many United fans have much good to say about him.

True. However, he had a remit of promotion and failed. I agree though.

Not a massive fan of him as a Blares manager, but huge respect for him as a person.

We appointed Wilder before the season started, so he didn't take us from "the bottom end of League One", he took us from League One.
And we finished top half just the year before.
You may claim we was bottom after about 4 games after he took over true .
But bit of an exaggeration to say he took us from bottom of league one

Nice sentiment, but we were 16th when he took over
16th yes ! but on the slide and in my opinion in danger of being dragged into a relegation battle.
Might seem light years away now but ! Not for the 1st time it could have happened ! each relegation to the 3rd division has seemed not possible as the budgets and playing squads seemed too big!
How wrong can you be .
Bramall lane can be a daunting place when things go wrong and players find the pressure huge and have succumbed before.
A great place to play when doing well! a really tough place when things have gone pear shaped.

Howard Kendall wasn't too shabby either.

Can we not use the word togetherness for at least another decade? Heard it about 400 times a week during the wilder era.
It’s only used because people can’t spell or know the word solidarity. It annoys me, does ā€œtogethernessā€

After pulling us off the bottom of the league last season and this seasons results against a backdrop of injuries limited budget and the off field take over antics I think Paul qualifies for entry in our wall of fame on this site. Chris was awarded the accolade and while accepting Paul took over a ready made team he certainly has brought out a real confidence and togetherness within the squad.

Don't agree, we were one of the pre season favourites with one of the highest budgets.
So he's done a good job, a little better than I expected (most people expected play-offs) but no where near as good a job as Wilder or the Coventry and Luton managers.

If he comfortably keeps us up next season in the Premier League then I'll be impressed and give him all the plaudits.

However at the moment think some our fans are wearing red and white tinted spectacles.
If Hecky was sacked next season he'd struggle to get any job in the Championship never mind the Premier League.

Hall of fame do me a favour

Hall of done a good job to date playing turgid football

My opinion hasn’t changed good job so far I’ll judge him after 10 games

If not see if we can get dyche from Everton or Russel Martin 🫣

Many of our fans are recognising him as a bright young manager who doesn’t think he knows it all, is keen to continue to develop & takes steps to do so, is great at developing young players and can get players buying in to what he wants to do.

He apparently ā€œfailedā€ at Leeds & Hibs, two clubs that were absolute basket cases when he was there. He will have learned a lot from those experiences and we are benefiting.

He would walk into another championship job.
