In a miserable season, the 2-1 win against Wolves was a rare highlight. A much better performance, and a great strike by Archer gave us a second half lead.
There was heartache in the 89th minute when Wolves equalised and with ten minutes of added time I feared another defeat. Right at the end, the ref gave a controversial penalty for a foul on Baldock and after what seemed like an age Norwood stepped up to score to jubilant scenes in frint of the Kop.
The one advantage of rare wins is that you celebrate them.more than usual. Finally we had won a game!

Southampton also got theirs at the weekend as well.

Ipswich and wolves still winless so are they shitter than us?

I think Southampton will finish bottom they look the worst team in the league. I think Wolves will sack Gary O Neil and start to pick up. But they are the most vulnerable of the established Premier League teams.

Are any of them getting the disdainful press we got last season? Or the comments about not being allowed back in the league as we offer nothing from the top-6 back-slappers at TalkSport? Or are they still in that “good old Ipswich and Southampton, great to see them back and having a go” period that Luton were afforded last season.
I’m not saying they aren’t getting stick, I’ve just not seen it.

Ipswich are playing lovely football and Southampton are a delight to watch in every defeat

We’d got a win this calendar weekend so that table is not the representative one we need for this

Was just about to say the same…this thread is reflecting on our first win of last season, that table doesn’t show it.🤷‍♂️

But our first win came in game 11. Wolves & Ipswich have only played 10 each as the fixtures are a week out compared to last season.

Swiss suggested Ipswich and Wolves are shitter because neither have won yet.

Wolves are at home to Southampton this weekend.
Ipswich away at Spurs.

Even if Ipswich lose, they'll have more points than we did after 11 games. Wolves need a draw to match our tally

I’m looking time based rather than games since we’d got our win at this weekend last season. I think the answer is clear….

If you’ve not got a win by first week in Nov you’ve been shit.

Part of the reason for the criticism we (in some ways rightfully) received last year was because it was the 2nd time in 3 seasons we had completely stunk the place out.

If we, god forbid, go up again and do the same - we can expect a lot more of the same.

Southampton are rubbish, but will still probably accumulate more points than we did (not that that says a great deal). If you watch them though it’s clear that Ipswich are a far better side than we were last season though, they’re capable of giving anyone a game on their own patch.

I reckon that was the best hit penalty I’ve ever seen….and I’m old 😳 UTB

Glad that season is over. Seeing the look in my lad’s eyes half way through the season and seeing that he just didn’t want to go to away games anymore (just went to a hand full within 2 hrs afterwards). Whereas now he can’t wait to get on the road tomorrow
