I think this is a strength and a weakness for us at the moment. O'Connell and Ebanks-Landell are getting acres of space in fantastic positions and the opposition don't seem able to deal with it at all. The downside is that they're O'Connell and Ebanks-Landell so we're often reliant on two big centre-backs to pick the final pass / cross.
At home, against the 90% of sides who will just come to defend, I'd like us to swap one of those of two for a defender who will be weaker in the air but can play. I think Lafferty would be perfect - his delivery is good and the defensive side of his game should stand up to the, usually very limited, test.
