The obvious one is Leeds who won the then Division One title after beating us 3-2 at Bramall Lane in 1992. There must have been other clubs whose season was decided at Bramall Lane but I can't think of any other examples?

Thinking about it, I suppose Walsall in 1981 and Wigan in 2007 were confirmed safe from relegation at Bramall Lane :(

They had to wait later that afternoon as Man U were playing at Liverpool. Man U losing 2-0 confirmed that L**ds won the League.

In 1898 after winning 1-0 at Bolton, Ernest Needham went to the press box to check how Sunderland had gone on at Bury and was informed that Sunderland had lost which confirmed us champions with a game left to play.

In 1953 our 2-1 win at Fulham confirmed us champions of the 2nd division with a game left to play.

We clinched the 4th division title in the last game of the 1981-82 season by winning 2-0 at Darlington

Bristol City got relegated at Bramall Lane in the 1998-99 season, I remember because they had a bugle player who played the Last Stand immaculately in the closing minutes, it was quite a classy way to see your team down!
Didn't Lee Morris score a hat-trick for us in that match? I remember thinking we had a special player on our hands there. Luckily for us, so did Derby County!

I remember that quite well, it was the first time I'd ever been on the Bramall lane pitch and all a load of United fans went to clap them as the Bristol city fans had been pretty noisey all game as we clapped them they responded by throwing a few seats at us !

I cant find any cases of Wednesday lifting a league title since I started going in 1960
how queer for such a massive club

You can't be searching hard enough. A photo at least of 250,000 on the pitch as some snorter holds aloft a trophy in his trotters. Can't be that difficult to find surely?

well there must be some mistake somewhere

apparently Wednesday won one trophy in the last 50 years , the Wigfalls cup or something like that
while sheffield united have won TWO league titles

thats hard to comprehend considering Wednesday fans belief they are immortals and invincible

its seems they keep getting silver medals in the league while we settle for Gold

Wendies really will let their stupid gobs say anything

We've won the tinpot League according to a Wendy I know

Same tinpot League that they've never managed to win despite several attempts

Walsall beating us at the Lane in the penultimate game in 2002 relegated Barnsley.

Forest won promotion to the First Division in 1957 by thrashing us 5-1 at the Lane in the last game of the season.

Sheffield Wednesday were denied promotion after Spurs failed to beat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in 1939.

Sheffield United were promoted instead.

:)

We were relegated at home to Bristol City of the league below after the play off second leg ended 1 1 with ex pig Carl Shutt scoring for the visitors after we lost the first leg at Ashton gate. I could be wrong but think the play offs were changed the following season so teams only played those in the same league not the one above or below.

Cardiff stayed up by winning at BL last day of the season, massive pitch invasion from our fans straight across the pitch towards Cardiff , typical Cardiff about 1500 of them trying to get on the pitch to fight, certainly did not attempt to run away

Didn't Bristol City lose to Tranmere in the final?
