I know we're all happy and satisfied and stuff but I thought Norwood was a bit of a liability and should've been sent off.

Could have been sent off true, but the rest is harsh. Other than that he played with intelligence and quality for me, his best performance by a mile since the lockdown.

I don’t think that Osborn had a good first half to be honest, he was trying too hard and kept charging in, but he was a revelation the 2nd half. And I was also crying out for Ollie to be subbed at half-time, not because he was having a bad game but because I was sure that he would be sent off after 2 lucky escapes!

To put it all into context, a couple years ago we lost one key midfield starter (Coutts) and the entire momentum came to a screeching halt. By contrast, this year we lose two midfield starters a defensive stalwart and a key sub and beat Spurs 3-1. That's amazing improvement!

I love Fleck too, but as has been shown many times over the years, the best teams aren't always made up of the best players. That's not to suggest how much of an important player Fleck is for us, but against Spurs our midfield looked cohesive and worked seamlessly with end product, and surely that's about all anyone can ask?

I don’t disagree, however him charging was a nice contrast to a rather pedestrian midfield performance we’ve had since the restart. I agree that it was better focused second half.

Good point. I think it was also the horror of Coutts injury that had a physiological impact as well as us missing the player.
