Opening day matches

We seem to always start slow and tonight is no exception.
I'm not going to go over the top and we have players coming back too.
I have to say I just didn't see us winning tonight before the match purely due to our record of starting seasons. So weirdly I'm not that down about it.

Tonight though felt we started to be more even in the 1st half as it drew to a close.
2nd half pretty dire, and little urgency at times. Generally though passing was not up to scratch and we were just generally poor in possession. This meant Watford going forward kept driving at us.

The goal fleck can feel a bit aggrieved but the ref didn't get in the way enough to stop play. Was it offside....dunno.

It is worth noting tonight that we were about patched up tonight at the back.

Clark a bit out of position, RND at lcb too.
First half hour Clark had a mare. Not helped that Stevens went off too as Lowe did not impress tonight.

N'Diaye looks bright again handful for teams. Just sometimes needs that composure but not crit from me he was our threat.

It was a similar away performance to last year on the whole. Pretty turgid.

We've scored just ten goals in our last 14 opening day fixtures, only scoring more than one goal on two occasions. At least we can console ourselves today on the fact that we are usually slow starters.
