Open letter to Mr Blackwell

Blackwell is the manager
If he doesn't like what is being dictated to him stand up and be counted. Clough did at Derby
But then again Blackwell doesn't have the balls
Rather collect his pay cheque every month!

Whereas you of course would tell your boss where to stuff his job and worry about how you were going to pay the ,mortgage later?

Ollesendro,

No probs if you were being tongue in cheek/wanting a reaction, I was just giving a critique.

I actually think that if you do feel that strongly (which I imagine you do) then you should send the letter, but as I said I think you should make some changes.

I don't subscibe to your complete anti Blackwell opinion, but I have no problem with your opinion. I think you have a point (Even though I disagree)Its reasonable that when you travel to a game like Watford and witness that, then you have a right to ask questions.

I'd also be interested to know if you do send it, whether you'll get a response and if so what the response would be.

The offer's there from me if you want to send it, i'll give no opinion of your feelings but I'll offer comments to the style, lay out etc.

I was going to rewrite it for you last night, but thought I'd wait to see if you were on a wind up mission first (Well thats my story and i'm sticking to it):D

Dear Mr Anderson,

Firstly, as I said after the game, I agree that the performance was unacceptable and I assure you I made my feelings known to the players. Once again, I apologise to the fans as I did in my post match interview.

With regard to player selection and tactics, you are, of course, entitled to your opinion although I am sure you will appreciate that the back four I had pencilled in on Monday morning had to be completely changed due to the transfer problems of both Walker and Kallio. The four who played had not worked together at all and when my captain was also injured this made matters worse and indeed led to the 1st goal being conceded.

You will also appreciate that the club is having to respond to the financial constraints affecting all of football at the moment but I assure you that I am fully committed to Sheffield United Football Club and will do my utmost to achieve what all fans want, success.

Lastly, I am sorry but the club is unable to refund any costs incurred.

Yours sincereley,

Kevin Blackwell

Or he could just reply in kind and say "F*** off Oliver, you arrogant fool. I think I speak for the majority of the players and your parents when I say get back to school and learn how to write properly". ;)

If I had been earning what Blackwell has at Bramall Lane for the last two years definitely.
Football is not the same as a proper job it pays a hell of a lot more and you don't have to be very good to get another job See B Laws for example

The whole thing just cracked me up. Irrespective of Clapper or Knocker or whatever they're bandied around these days, we've all had a chuckle at that.

Ding, ding, ding we have a winner. Finally somebody has a bit of a laugh at the post and doesn't take it too seriously!?

Ok Sothall, Stafford, Cily and crew you can stop getting your knickers in a twist. I have to confess I was just mucking around poting that silly letter.

Do you planks really think that I'd send that to Blackwell??? Come on. The letter was a tongue in cheek post, still it made me chuckle how wound up some of you lot get. The insults are a bit tedious, but i guess if I throw the bait out I can expect the odd 'nasty' bite.
