Potential banana skin avoided in style. Pigs overcome by a very professional Charlton team.

We're in form and on fire.

So what about Charlton. I don't think it'll be a battle like Charlton faced today. I bet they'll have a few bruises after overcoming the dirty, physical pigs. We pose a very different threat to them. I reckon it could be a very good game and very close.

Will it come down to the better organised footballing side?

At the moment, the way were playing, I struggle to see anyone who can stop us scoring, we have threats down both flanks, Macca has the passing range and up front were bagging chances.

But are we vulnerable at the back? Harry is learning, but is young and hopefully Collins can use his experience to help. Ljf/ Williams can get exposed. And Lowton whilst being a major threat going forward, has been exposed defensively at times.

If we get put on the back foot they could beat us, but if we're positive and go at them then I'm confident that we'll get at least a draw and hopefully a win.

I wonder if DW will go for a bit of extra security by leaving Quinny out and going with LJ-F and MW down the left?

I think that'd be a backward step. Only question mark for me with Quinny is discipline in big games, otherwise he can offer a lot both defensively covering the full back and getting forward.

Seemed like he put Williams on today to close the game out.

Wouldn't be surprised if he goes one up top (bench Cresswell) and get Monty doing a man marking job on Jackson who is their stand out player

Personally I think we should keep with the same side and let them worry about us. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Never mind all this speculating Swiss, get your flight to London booked. Messages to other Blades fans. Come on down to the capital! I know it is not possible for all of you (life gets in the way etc) but if you can make it, then come down. There is no excuse for us not filling the away end. It is the biggst game of the season and promises to be cracker. Look at the difference those 3.7k Blades made today. I'd love us to sell all the 2k. I'm nervous and excited already!

(As Rev says) we should keep the same team. We're on fire! That's 10 wins out of the last 11 games (and we were unlucky against Carlisle). We've beaten teams at a canter, stuufed teams and seen out some professional performances. Charlton will not be looking forward to this. Keep the same team and let them worry. With Quinn, K Mac, Willo, Lowton, Ched and Cressy we've got enough ability/class/cutting edge to score. The back 4 looks rock solid at the moment too and is being herlped by the impressive 'enforcer' Michael Doyle.

It's going to be a tough game. But I think we can come and get a result. Charlton are good, but we're playing well. Too close to call in my opinion. They've only lost twice this season and are unbeaten at home. But the Pigs were unbeaten at home until today. I've seen a little of Charlton and they are beatable. If we go down confident, believing we can beat them and play how we've been doing them then we can win.

We have smashed in seven goals in two games and conceded none. I will be pissed off if we change our style for a team that are scraping results lately.

I agree Ollie.

Normally I wouldn't have a problem coming back to the UK for a weekend for this, but Our lass has just moved out to Switzerland (all part of this commitment thing) and doesn't know anyone, so I agreed that I'd be here with her until the end of Jan.

I also checked the flights last night and I could do it in a day, catching the 20.00 back from Heathrow, but it'd cost me about GBP 300. I'm going to monitor flight costs and I'm going to run it by her this week...

If you don't hear from me after Weds, then its been splendid knowing you.

Have just booked hotel and match tickets.

Our lass has agreed to come to add some glamour to the "old time" LBs. The last game she went to was also at Charlton and we scored 5 (five).

Looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and making some new ones.

It's gonna be a great weekend whatever happens on the pitch.
