What? No one knows how many we are entitled too until the MUFC safety advisory group decides. We have a bit of a reputation as away fans so we won't get anywhere near the 15% they can allow us to have.

from the FA site

15% allocation to Away Fans
One of the magic ingredients of the FA Cup is that more away fans attend games than in the Premier League. This helps distinguish the Cup from the Premier League games and gives the matches a special atmosphere. An FA Cup away day is often the highlight for supporters over an entire season.

All the stay aways on Saturday should NOT be able to get a ticket until those that went to the Oldham game on Saturday have had a chance to buy one. That should help encourage people to attend the earlier cup rounds in future seasons.

They got the crowd they deserved on Saturday following the turgid displays this season so far !!

I did go on Saturday, but wished that I hadn't bothered .....

I remember a friend of mine at wembley singing "where were you at Swindon town!?" Haha dickhead!
I love going to all the big games just to piss him off.

What about tickets for those locked out of Old Trafford at 1.30p.m.when we were top of the Prem ( or was it 1st division)? ( that game when Best went round Reece every Saturday night on Match of the Day for about 20 years!!:(

Agree about the 2nd round crowd though - I was nowhere near.

I have been to none of the JPT or cup games this season. Why? Because I can only deal with so much shit football. Do I care? No. Will I be going to Old Trafford in the second week of january? Yes I will because i've built up 25k+ loyalty points, I have as much right as anyone else so don't give me that rubbish.

Nah, come back when you have 40k+ pal!

Completely agree. I was away but still got charged on the cup ticket scheme...

I'll be away for Man U as well though :(

HA HA listen to the fairweather fans squirm. Suck it up part-timers.
(I should add that if for some reason you went to the 1st round match but missed the 2nd, you should still qualify).
you were at darlington then..who did you go as?you can have mine btw..dont care about the cup

Me too mate but like so many of us daft twats if we had drawn say Colchester in the 3rd round I bet you would have gone. That's where the " gullible basterd " bit comes in.....

I wasn't there on Saturday, but i was at fleetwood, gillingham and every other shit hole at every arse end of the country, I don't need some billy big blade telling me i don't deserve a ticket.

I went on Saturday LG & when I first read FA's thread I agreed that he had a point, however your comments throw a spanner into that argument now. That's why it wouldn't be implemented.

Hardly think you can call those travelling away either regularly or otherwise part-timers Fjortoft, should be first in line for me. I should point out that I am not one of them.

The Oldham attendance was an embarrasment and not good for our finances. This method of rewarding those attending non-attractive home cup ties would help get those crowds up. Simple logic really.

Oh get off your high horse.

It was a 2nd round tie against shit opposition, whom we're sick of the sight of, in the run up to Xmas. It was cold and we're shit at the moment. The tie was about as attractive as Susan Boyle in lingerie.

Attempting to penalise those that didn't go by pinning them back from getting tickets for Man U away is petty, holier than thou, bigger Blade bullshit.

If people don't want to go to games, whatever their reasons, it's their choice and they shouldn't be punished for it.

Seriously think you and others are over estimating the give a fucks most absentees from Saturday will be giving. I didn't go Saturday and I've no more inclination to attend this than I did v Oldham.

United won't sell out and if every single one who attended Saturday wanted a ticket, they could probably get one.

Listen I can see your point mate, but for me your can't really argue with theirs, bad enough having to suffer them at home without having to watch them away this season (same could be applied to last season really). Why some of them didn't attend Saturday I don't know, but they don't have to justify it to me.

They don't have to justify to me either, they should however only have a chance of a Man Utd ticket after those that went to the Oldham game.

I've shelled out £380 for a season ticket and been to most away games this season....all for fuck all.
Didn't go on Saturday because I couldn't be arsed to ruin a weekend off by watching those utter pricks steal another weeks wages from the club or another tenner of my hard-earned.

I'll get a ticket for Old Trafford, it's a nice reward for the trips I made to the likes of Gresty Road and Vale Park this season where I went and witnessed dogshit performances and dogshit results.

I didn't go Saturday, I'll be going next month........and there really isn't a whole lot that anyone can do about it.

This is correct. As a result we'll get about 8000 and sell out. I understand the OP and maybe its right. I simply couldn't be arsed to go on Saturday because I've fallen out with them a bit at the moment.

Just read Tyler's post above mine and you can't really argue with that logic can you?

So what you are saying is the the loyalty scheme which has been running for years (which was set-up to reward people who attend all the shit matches every season year in year out) should be abandoned in priority terms in favour of a one-off shit game in round 2 for a 3rd round glamour tie this season. Deluded is the word that springs to mind if anyone thinks one game should take priority over a system that has been running to reward loyalty for years.
