And people claimed it wasn't a foul. :)

The only shock was we had to wait until the last minute before Hammond went through someone.

Yes it was a foul, but I am still struggling to see the shotgun that Hammond used to kneecap the player, the same injury that made him writhe around in untold agony, well until the ref had blown for the penalty anyway.

I think we need 2 'dick head' stickers for this little incident.

One thing is for sure had it been the other way around and a foul in their penalty box we wouldn't have got a penalty.

This was one of our better matches under Adkins, held a near full-strength Manure to a draw well into injury time. Then that cunt had to ruin it.

Went on the bender of the century that night, took me the whole of the next day to recover and then just as I began to feel better I found out David Bowie died.

So thanks Hammond for fucking up my entire week.

Seem to recall Mr Brayford wasn't exactly blame free in the build up.
Hammond was still full weight though.

And David Bowie was the first of many celebrity deaths last year, which Dean Hammond was inadvertently to blame for!

I remember getting soaked under their leaking roof. You would think a billionaire club like Manchester United could afford to fix it!

Thank god we don't have tossers like that here anymore, I believe Sammon started that game as well... Jesussssss....

Just making sure we couldn't use the replay revenue to pay his ridiculous wages.

Wanker.

Decent match up until that point.

Really? I thought it was one of the worst adverts for football Id ever seen, 2 teams intent on doing fuck all except passing sideways.

If we'd had Wilder or even Clough in charge we could have won that game but both teams were completely negative

Considering I thought we were going to get our arse handed to us, it was fairly decent defensive performance and we were only moments away from a replay.

I would have expected more of a performance during the replay at Bramall Lane though.

That was probably Sammons best game for us. Worked his bollocks off.

Obviously no goal threat though.

Thought Man U were gash. We turned up and sat deep and they didn't have an answer. Every time the ball went out wide it got knocked back inside. They don't have a winger in the side, lots of teams don't these days. If we'd had a Jamie Ward as an outlet instead of that useless bag of shit Sammon, I reckon we'd have nicked summat.

Dat foul cost us abart heif a mill, possibly even more? We'd have filled the Lane for d replay and it wud av bin on TV n all. Cheers Dean ... you Sheffield Wednesday sized nobeard.

At the time of that penalty - CW was stood behind me and my nipper on the back row of the upper tier.

I wanted to turn round and say "You'll manage us one day" - I bottled it..........wish i'd have said it now.

Glad it's come sooner rather than later - potentially saved our club from another 5+ years of doom and gloom.

UTB

Just realised how horrible that kit actually was.

Man U were disgracefully bad. How LVG kept his job for so long with such stiflingly dull output I'll never know.

A good match only in the sense we were crap and they were famous.

I thought we kept them at bay well enough despite Man Utd's poor form under LVG.

We were hardly expected to go to Old Trafford and give Man Utd a thrashing?
Yeah we executed a game plan well, but it didn't make for a good game. Neither keeper tested, weak attack v 11 men behind ball.
