Players who only managed to break the net once for United. How many have your seen?

My list for the 80's and early 90's.

29/1/83 Gary West - Bournemouth H - tap in from a corner
2/11/85 Steve Wigley - Blackburn H - that goal
22/4/86 Lee Walshaw - Leeds H - decent shot to win us the game at 3-2
4/4/87 Andy Kennedy - Blackburn H - we cleared a corner and AK ran half the length of the pitch before finishing with aplomb
29/8/87 Chris Marsden - Blackburn H - on his debut to put us 2-0 up
26/4/88 Wally Downes - Ipswich H - swerving free kick on the left at the kop end
29/10/88 Chris Wilder - Bury H - Pen to put us 1-0 up
21/1/89 Darren Carr - Gillingham H - another one from a corner
17/8/91 Colin Hill - Norwich A - a corner was cleared and a 25 yarder from Hill put us 2-0 with 13 mins left. We drew 2-2.

None.

Well the least you could do is provide us with a comprehensive list of one goal wonders....:)

I could, but that would just be showing off...

A few names: Derry, Onuora, Dyer B, Dyer N, Barnes. Hartfield, Ludlam, Smith T, Smith P, Rioch, Casey, Houston, Burley, Doane, Lovell, Javary, Black T, Law, Lucketti. Horsfield, Kazim-Richards, O'Toole, Clarke....

I think i might have seen O'Toole's goal.

I knew a couple that lived either next door or on the same road as J-P Jav. Apparently his scoring ratio was nearly every night, if you catch my drift nudge-nudge wink-wink.

8/4/74 Terry Nicholl - Liverpool H - Don't remember much about the goal other than most of Bramall Lane going mental!

Was that away at Watford? Seem to recall it being a decent one..

It was. 6/4/02. I was at that game - don't recall it beiny anything special.
That was also the game when Steve Lovell (who?) got his only goal.

The interesting thing about Tony McMahon and Lyle Taylor is that they both scored two goals each and they were both in the same match.

Scored at the Lane End, he poked the ball past Clemence who came out of the goal and it did seem to take an age for the ball (about 3 bounces) to get into the net

McMahon also scored at Oxford in the cup on 5/1/13

Tony Bettersby? The 4th in a 4-1 win against portsmouth at teh Lane?

Definitely saw the Dyer B OGW.

I thought McMahon scored another one in teh cup against oxford?

* edit darren just beat me to this!

Remember it going in and falling off, actually knocked off, the white railings in front of John Street.
I would have been at the front of John St as well - we always used to stand next to the player's tunnel (to the left as you look from the pitch) and use the railings to get a better view.

Bill Punton against you know who about 1967 - 6" tap-in in front of kop

I saw Derry's goal, it was on a strange night at then non league Rushden and Diamonds. We won on Pens.

Was Burley the young lad who was meant to have a left foot better than Kevin Sheedy? Think I remember his goal was a rebound from a free kick.

And Steve Lovell was engaged to Amy MacDonald the mega sexy Scottish songstress the lucky chap!
