Danny Wilson played for wednesday

but hasnt for twenty years or more

he managed them ,
but that was over a decade ago

The red and white tie says hes a blade now , head honcho

thats really all that matters, we just have to forgive his former sins

Hes had worse stick than Marlon King got , bit silly really
considering Macleish swopping brum for villa , hot from winning the league cup, now thats really switching allegience

not over 10 years after being shown the door

Got me beat. I would have said Harper Lee, given your alias, But I don't recognise the quotation. Shame on me.

It's got me beat, too. My first thought was Martin Amis but surely he would never have written 'swimming serious'. Maugham? Or am I looking on the wrong side of the Atlantic?

Or is it something you knocked off on a wet Tuesday in Stoke? :D

Oh come on guys, If Olle puts himself up there with the Literary greats and we have such esteemed readers on this forum surly you can do better than that?
Does that piece not fit the way Olle writes his threads in its desription? Thats analogy i think? as apposed to hoped for irony.:D
Pinchy, you seem to be obsessed with harper in one way or another.

Ollie only misspells words ironiacally.

What's your point?

Yeah have to agree, sounds like he needs to get out more. Maybe get his head stuck into a few Blades history books and would realise he's missed at least another 25 players, some of which I am sure he has cheered for when wearing a Blade shirt. How many would consider Carl Bradshaw a piggy (sorry not my phrase). He did his spell at Hillsborough.

Wot did me n mi muckers seh???

It sickens me to see that some 'so called Blades' on here are softening to Piggy Dingle Wilson and will be getting behind the team.I for one will be cutting my nose to spite my face and not going to the Lane. I'll be spending my afternoon's in Medowhall until that Wednesday-ite leaves BDTBL. It's like the fan interviewed on Radio Shef said* 'once Wednesday, always Wednesday'.

I will absolutely oppose Wilson until he leaves the Lane. If he tries to bring any of this ticky tacky stuff to the Lane (see my how awful thread) then I will be down there protesting again. No surrender.

Derek Dooley

It makes me sick that we have a statue of Piggy Dooley in the car park. How sickening. He should have never had anything to do with united. He would have never have got the Chief Exec job if it was not for me.

What about his reign as chair I hear you say? Taking over us in £4m debt in the third tier and then staying with us for 12 years until we got promoted to the top flight. Does not matter. He was a pig. Should never have got the chance.

Ian Porterfield

Cannot believe that Piggy Porterfield was offered the job at United. Did they not realise he was a pig. Had I been old enough I would have been down in the car park protesting. He should have never have been given the chance to take us to two promotions. Fancy taking us from the 4th tier to 2nd tier like that. I am sure that a Blade would have taken us all the way to the top flight.

Alan Quinn, Leigh Bromby and Derek Geary

Fucking Pigs. Need I say more??!

When United beat Wednesday at the Lane in our promotion season of 2006/2006 I was not happy. Why? Because a fucking Pig scored. Alan Quinn should have never have been allowed to play for the Blades. I sat down on my hanads when he netted that goal. Once a pig, always a pig!?

Bromby the pig should have never have joined United. Fancy ius signing 2 Wednesday players at the same time. That should have not have happened. Where were the car park protests then. Bromby's 100 and odd appearences and his help getting us to the top flight mean nothing to me. Fuckign Wednesay-ite.

What about Piggy Geary. Should never have wore a Blades shirt. Pig. I would have liked Geary and his positve attitude, tiresome work rate and passion for United. However, we used to be a pig. 'Once Wednesday, always Wednesday'.

Harry Maguire

Isn't he a pig? Fuck him. Wenesday bastard. I do not care how talented he is. He might be a rock solid defender, young lad and have lots of potential. But he is a pig. I for one will not be complaining if we short sightedly sell him for a fraction of his vakue this summer.

Arctic Monkeys

Don't listen to those fucking Pigs. The first album was excellent, but as soon as I found out they are Wednesday I stopped. Never mind that they put Sheffield back on the map and became the best rock band in the word for a while.

2006

A fucking horrid year for me. I should have enjoyed it, but I just couldn't. United heading back up to the top flight and the artic monkeys putting Sheffield back on the scene. A real proud time to be a Sheffielder and a Blade. However with piggy Dooley on the board and Piggies Geary, Quinn and Bromby on the pitch I felt sick. Fucking Piggy Alex Turner ruined it too. Spent most of the year listening to John Denver and watching video's a United team without any pigs in it.

My brother

My own flesh and blood. Fucking pig. Supports Wednesday. We do not talk anymore. It's better this way. He was upset when I took a red hot poker to his face after Wednesday beat us one year. Family? Fuck them. He is a pig.

The moral of the story? Do not give that Pig Wilson a chance. He does not deserve it. Why? 'Once Wednesday, always Wednesday'.

* Anyone listening to Radio Sheffield around 11am on Friday would have heard some of the first protestors getting interviewed. The second chap interviewed was a particularly intelligent, articulate type and I use his comments.

Hate to say I told you so. Piggy Wilson is 100% responsible for us not getting to Wemberley!!? Gerrrim sacked McCabe ye fecking two hat.

I've got my iPod in the dock, listening to a few songs on shuffle so loads of random stuff keeps coming up, especially as i've around 13GB of music on there, but fuck me, what a co-incidence that this song is playing at the very moment i read this

''He tested the water, then watched to see how others were entering the pool before he took the plunge''.
''Once in he could still not decide if people were swimming serious or just messing around''.
Since you seem to put yourself in the company of great writers, find out who wrote that.;)

is it from william golding lord of the flies?
bill hicks, Van Gogh And Socrates esteemed company indeed possibly the funniest man ever, possibly the greatest painter ever, possibly the greatest philosopher ever and Olle possibly what?

and good old olle right on queue trots out the car park protest picture, now unlike bladesway im no shrink part or full time but even i can see an unhealthy link you have gleaned with that picture.
try something different olle, "dramatic irony, puns, parody, pathos, hyperbole, satire" any one or mix of these may provoke a better reaction than your current earthy attempt at humour with a twist.
id suggest hyperbole as it appears to suit your "introverted" character perfectly.
i find it hard to understand why someone of your, admittedly selfadmitted rapier wit who compares himself to keats, wilde and even the great bard himself, lowers his self to satirical ironey on such a mundane and badly syntaxed level.
i look forward to more of the same.

Piggy Wilson has go to go!!!!

If Leeds are willing to sack Grayson after a 4-1 defeat to Birmingham, then we should defo sack Piggy, Dingle Wilson after losing 4-0. Come on McCabe .... show some balls.

Love United, hate Wilson, pig out!

We got in to this mess by sacking managers on a far too regular basis.

We got in to this mess by...

...not sacking Warnock when it became clear he was starry-eyed and out of his depth at the top level.

...not sacking the former semi-pro, non-league, reserve keeper immediately after he shamefully played for penalties at Wembley.

...appointing Quickfix Mickey when the club was crying out for a manager to bring back proper football.

Luckily we've now got a manager who just might turn this sinking juggernaut around.

Speaking of which, I've just ordered a scale model of the Costa Concordia. They've now sold out, but they've already put it on one side for me.

Two month since the thread was last posted on, and it's dragged up from the depths.............

quite right pinchy, starry eyed..... thats what he was telling the players not to be,swapping shirts and getting autographs etc ,buts thats what he was doing

how starry eyed was he when we were 12 points clear ?

We never were. It was 10 at its highest, but I digress. The answer to your question is: Sufficiently starry-eyed and out of his depth to allow that gap to diminish and ultimately disappear.

Five! Welcome aboard. I'm pretty sure, though, that we're not the underdogs anymore. Danny has got the We  Hoof Brigade roped and tied.

You amongst them if we go by this thread. Its bad enough putting other people in catagories, don't do it to yourself.

thinking the stars over Portsmouth looked brighter

Funny how things turn out, Neil could have been looking at 18 months in Parkhurst with Manderic.

As it is he is looking at 18 months with Ken Bates.

I know, its a toss up init :)

im defiantely not a fan of wilson, or when people say quinn, bromby, and geary are "legeneds" (still makes me laugh) but ill never stop lovin united, and even though ill never sing his name, ill never stop goin to BDTBL.
i'd get your head from out of your arse, and deal with the fact that wilson is stayin around, and that he is doin a decent job. im afraid your in the minority and all the moanin in the world is not gonna make the board think they should change the management.

>You'll get used to it with Olle, I refer you to his "Shed Thread"
oh i dunno.. i rather enjoyed the shed thread :D.. what with all these wins and all, without him there'd be nothing to read/moan about
