Berge or no Berge, if Olsen goes we should go in for Woodman. Get him on a loan with option to buy.
Let's be honest with the exception of St Max, Trippier and possibly Dubravka, if and it's a big if, they stay up, every other Newcastle player is on borrowed time, a few might survive as squad players, the influx of players will not only affect the first team, the competition for places and quality will increase.

Woodman seemed to be out of favour before the takeover as well. I suspect they'll not care too much about money, so could work in our favour.

That's the question re money, will they happily 'bank' some players like Chelsea, and/or take a slightly longer term view re home grown players in the squad, could that actually increase the price?

Unlike Chelsea, their owners have limitless money. I honestly think they'll not give a toss about a couple of million here or there if they want to get players out. I suspect Woodman would be a token fee, as opposed to his actual value. No doubt they'll eventually get more savvy but at the moment the most important thing will be getting players in and out as fast as possible. £500K for Woodman seems a possibility.

I think the obvious thing to factor in is relegation, having said that with huge funding, attracting top players on PL money & terms for what they would hope and reasonable to assume 1 season in the Championship shouldn't be much of an issue

They have Dubravka and Darlow as well. I presume they'll go in for a new number 1. I'd not be shocked if they go back to Burnley and offer them a wedge for Pope and Tarkovsky.

If you're able to tee-up a deal for Woodman for £500k, you deserve to be appointed to the Board. There'd also the small matter of his wages for Utd to contend with - he's comfortably into Prem level and (I'm 99% sure) on more than anyone at BDTBL.

Thing is they can afford wages and transfer fees, Norwich are down, realistically they are competing with Watford, Leeds, Burnley and Brentford, Wood, Tarkowski and possibly Lingard, might be enough to scrape past the competition

Lower Premiership level. Mike Ashley is hardly generous. We will have players on equal or more.

I take it Villa haven't actually watched him play for us this season?

He could be talking nonsense obviously but Darren Smith the only slither of ITK we get nowadays is saying on Twitter that it’s not our decision whether Olsen stays or not, implying that Roma have a recall clause.
Would this mean that we would get some money back if they did recall?

If Olsen goes this isnt the start of a transfer spree for us. If Berge goes that money will be used to pay off debt for the Prince not to sign new players. I like the honesty of the prince in interviews, he seems a fairly good guy, but I feel United could be financially sinking him at the moment

The club needs to raise funds to cover wages and overheads, without which I doubt we can see beyond the start of next season without further investment.

I really hope league one Wes is as good as everyone makes out in our last few games he has dropped some proper clangers

The wolves 3rd goal is a proper changer

Along with the Bristol city game where he literally kicked the ball straight to there player under no pressure

He’s done ok but he’s nowhere near good enough never has been and never will be imo

Every time the ball goes near him I sh@t my pants

Out of the 3 keepers we had I would say Wes was the worst and the other two have gone 😂

Wes was the worst?, didn't we keep more clean sheets with Wes in goal, so far this season?, I'd need to go and check, but my gut feeling is the answer is yes?

All our keepers are as average as each other.

Wes will do until the end of the season but he's not a long term number one for a club aspiring to be at the top end of the Championship.

Olsen should have been but has been average and has made numerous errors in the short time we've had him and has really not lived up to the hype. He'll warm the bench wherever he is until he goes back to Sweden.

If Eastwood was good enough, he'd be number one by now but isn't. Not sure how long he's contracted for but he needs to go and get a gig as a number 1 in League 2/Conference.

Not suggesting I’m upset about us sending Verrips out on loan and losing Olsen but we’ll need to sign another keeper. Don’t fancy us having Wes and Jake Eastwood as our only options.
This is the most important part of all this Wes has won me round I’m fine if he stays but I’m not comfortable with him as undisputed number one and Eastwood I’m sorry I’m out he’s and academy graduate and he might make a career for himself in the game but he’s worse than long and fairly comfortably so.

Could we have two keepers refuse to play for us in order to push transfers through? If it worked for Ramsdale......

We're paying a lot for the privilege of having him on loan. He doesn't want to be here, clearly, and it's no good having a keeper who isn't fully concentrating on the job. I think we can spend the money we'll save much more wisely. I don't think we have a really good keeper on the books. I'd be looking at the permanent options. If nothing available for the money we'd be prepared to spend then get someone else in on loan or on a short-term deal.

We can't rely on Wes or Jake.

Worst case scenario is replace Olsen with goalie wag. It would probably provide the same amount of protection to our goal as Olsen has done thus far.

I'd be driving him there myself if it was up to me. Hes not interested in being at the Lane, gives the vibes that we are beneath him, and worst of all he has been a liability. Take the 2nd chance Utd and get him out of the club pronto. There will be plenty of keepers in the lower league better than him. Millers and Pompey keepers off the top of my head.

Wes has been great for us since getting selected. We do need someone decent but not expensive as competition.
