Think he’s done ok today, and he’s had a fantastic season. Looks much stronger than I remember.

Exactly. Which is why I can't get involved in the collective wankathon to get him signed at massive cost that seems to be sweeping a fair percentage of this board.

Yes he's a good player but Business Model FC have shown that they won't sell for anything other than top dollar and, for the price, there's absolutely no evidence he would be any better suited to The Prem than McB, Che or Robinson were.
 

Thought the Brentford strikers were poor tonight. On this showing I don't think any of their players would improve us. Then again it was one game!

You could say Henderson was crap after the Liverpool clanger but that's part of being a keeper. All of them make decisions that cost their teams dearly, none of them are perfect just some are better than others.

No he wasn't. He was deprived of anything like service all game, can't believe Brentford gave him nothing in the channels or the box. They were wank and deserved to lose, not Watkins fault that, he's there to test defenders and score goals the fact that his team mates gave him nothing all night is no slight on the player.

McBurnie/Watkins seems a potential top partnership to me.

What’s odd is that several posters go on to state how Brentford didnt provide Watkins with any service but Ignore Watkins Hasn’t imposed himself on the game
I said last week that he is over rated, and wouldn’t improve us enough to change our fortunes up front.
he needs creativity around him, something we lack. He wouldn’t score more than McB in our side. Fact.

Not a premier league player for us

by the way, and for what it’s worth i think mcburnie had an excellent first season in the premier league.

That’s not a fact it’s your opinion.
 
I thought a year ago he was over-hyped. Having seen more of him this season gone, he looks excellent and potentially a great fit for us. He didn’t look particularly good yesterday, but that hardly overwrites a season’s worth of good performances.
