What's his contract like? At 23 I be he has a few years left on his contract.
I've seen him a couple of times and thought he looked really good but I dont know loads about him. What I do know is I'd have 2 of his team mates ahead of him still.

Would be an asset if we stayed up or came back down. More reasonably priced than his strike partner too.

There would be a great deal to like about this imo. Especially if combined with the likes of the players noted by Richard cadette

He's probably the most obvious alternative to Callum Robinson.

I think Robinson's a better player but the advantage Watkins has is his greater ability to play as a centre forward.

Signing Watkins could be a smart way of reducing the total number of signings, as he's a wide attacker and centre forward in one.

Going with him, Sharp, McGoldrick and hopefully McBurnie would be a numbers risk though, but I'd be OK with that.

Watkins considers himself a number 10. He could be instead of Dowell and could be used in a similar way to what McGoldrick was later in the season.
I dont think he will be our out and our striker even if we get him and Mcburnie.

I trust the defence pretty much, Jota adds a bit more to a decent midfield and Maupay and Watkins have a good understanding upfront, Didzy, Billy, Duffy and Fleck will have some real competition
