Just seen these stats posted, not sure of the accuracy, but if true, fantastic.

Oli McBurnie’s going to #SUFC

His 2018-19 compared to other Championship strikers: - 22 goals - 2nd most headed goals - 2nd most passes per game - 2nd most key passes per game - 4th most dribbles per game

23-years-old.

The best all-round striker in the league.

Probably cross bread with a sheep the weirdos

Where did all this money com from ?
At the beginning, before any signings were made - which seemed a long, long wait for the first one - we were reliably informed that CW had £20 million.
He's not been doing that with the loaves and fishes has he ?

My guess is extra revenue from sponsorship deals and maybe a smidge extra to come from the sale of Che Adams.

As far as the money goes it looks like they have given Wilder the bulk of the incoming monies for his transfer and wages budget with I suppose the reasoning being that it's not their money and they could stand to cash in once the court case is over and done with
Hopefully they both go and new buyers come in with investment for January that could see us bring whatever we need to upgrade for the second half of the season

Be nice wouldn't it ?

Still shows the unfairness
facility fees depending on how often your matches broadcast in the UK - favours the big guns
I guess it's inevitable that sky and BT will show more of the top six
Merit fees Depending on where you finish at the end of the season - again favours the big guns
Whereas in my humble opinion teams like United should get a bigger slice as they have done better given the reduced resources
of course if we finish eighth we will get a big piece of pie anyway........;)

I don't think we've got good value with this one.

Maybe we have paid slightly above the odds but overall our spend has been very well targeted. Freeman and Robinson in particular are players where I think we have got real bargains, Osborne too potentially.

This season all broadcasting rights totaling 3.3 billion will still be shared evenly between the 20 clubs.
Going forward, at least 3.3 billion will always be split evenly between all clubs, but any additional revenue secured will go solely to the 'Big 6'

2nd most headed goals, eh? I think he was second only to Billy Sharp!

Weve got 3 on tv so far so not doing terribly

I really don’t get this about McBurnie. Admittedly I’ve only ever seen him for Swansea at Bramall Lane, but he was anonymous apart
from scoring a tap in. He wasn’t particularly, fast, tricky or physically imposing, didn’t cause us any
problems and was rarely on the ball. In my opinion from what I’ve seen he’s nowhere near good enough to get in our team :(

Ive seen him for Scotland more than Swansea and up against top defenders (when we've played Belgium and the like) he has looked lost.

I hope he is able to transfer his goal scoring heroics in the Championship to the Prem but there are so many players who simply do not.

£20m seems like crazy money but I'd be delighted as a Utd and Scotland fan if we can turn him into a diamond.

I'd caution that it's harder to fit into an international team because opportunities to bed a team in are very limited.

Hopefully he'll do better for us.
