Some performance from the lad today and in the past 2 months

Playing on when you need a hernia he is some boy and is showing he is more than good enough 6 in his last 8 starts is a great return

Keep it up oli Mac son 👍
He is doing v well. Fair play to him.

If only he could have scored the winner from 2 yards.

Changed the game (along with Doyle and Ndiaye) held it up well, did some great flick ons, and should have won it us.

I could never have seen the performances Oli's putting in now last season. He's totally turned his game around. He's been brilliant. Keep it up Oli. Loved his celebration with the kid pitch invader today aswell

He had an awful season last year but the crux of that was down to injuries IMO

Great player at this level, think we,ll be a better team pre new year. Really missing Berge off the ball, the lads running the most off the ball.

Did well when he came on but if being hypercritical, was fortunate to score the goal (did he miss it first time and got a lucky rebound off the post or did he hit it onto the post himself? - either way was very lucky ).
Should have nodded the simplest chance of all simple chances home and also should have at least have hit the target of not scored with the other chance.
Let’s not pretend he is the messiah but he did well when he came on.

He is much munch more than that IMO

Not many strikers the size of him have the touch of him and can link hookah like he does
But he isn’t a great header of the ball or he would have scored the dead easy chance and at least hit the target with the other.
As I said above, he played well but let’s not get carried away …..

Fallowfield must be drunk, he's posted something sensible that we can agree with.

Oli did really well when he came on today. 6 so far this season, only 2 behind the top scorers in the division. Can't argue with that.

I was a bit worried given how the game was descending into nastiness when he came on...honestly thought he might get involved in something daft and get himself sent off, but fair play to him, he got stuck in, got a goal, and could (or probably SHOULD) have won it for us.

More of that please Oli.

He always was a good player at this level. But he's often been played incorrectly and had injuries and fitness issues. Some of this is his fault.

This season not so, he's got himself in form and fit.

Some think of him as a target man big lad up top. He's actually closer to being a mcgoldrick type player to be honest.

Is there only me who saw him blow two chances one on one in injury time...

Connor would gave managed the first, Craig Beattie the second.

Never mind LAD

Great performance by Ollie gutted that header didn’t go in to win in 3 2 for us but we can crack on a bit now UTB

To echo what another poster has said hes always had ability, you could see it in his touch and hold up play. We just used him wrong (someone to lump a ball too) and our fans couldnt look past that. Hes really good with the ball at his feet, the fact hes good in the air is a bonus. We see the best of him when we play to his feet. Glad to see him scoring now as well.

Never thought I'd be saying it...but when do we give him the new contract? And if we do, do we get years 1 & 4 Oli or years 2 & 3 Oli?

There was a moment when he was on the righthand side of their box. He feinted to go one way, shifted the ball the other and completely sold their player down the river.

It's the kinda technical ability with the ball at his feet I hadn't seen in a long time.

Previous seasons as soon as he got the ball he was trying to shift it on to someone else as soon as possible.

Now he looks like he wants to hold the ball and take on players.

think he picked up good habits off Ndiaye, being more direct and actually having a pop

I think he has been excellent this season in the main, and I was wrong in believing he was useless forever.

Well done for coming back to the player we need he could be in the championship, however he should have scored the winner yesterday! Easy header in front of goal the useless git!

Definitely a slightly different/improved mindset this season. He always had good feet but is more confident right now. I hope it continues.
