Were elephants just roaming around Sheffield in those days? That would be fun.Elephants at Norfolk Park. Might be Norfolk Park Rd, judging by that brick wall behind the kids.

Summer 1974Not the greatest image but with my limited skills the best I can do.
Wondered if anyone else remembered remembered collecting the player pics from The Star or better still has a better image than I do. I'm guessing 1972/3 ish ?
(please ignore the wallpaper, it was of it's time)

Unfortunately I don't have it either. I had a vague feeling there was a photo of it somewhere amongst all the family guff and I found it the other day. If I remember correctly the pictures and wallchart were issued by The Star and our relatives collected them for us as nippers until we completed the set. I assume there was one for the other lot too but I have no idea about the other local teams. That is a nice item which I haven't seen before (and I have a lot of Blades ephemera!)

If ever the song 'What's Going On' deserved an image then this is it.
Looks great imo - the back paneling of the Family stand has also been painted black and the exec seats in South Stand are now black - all done to cheer us up i suppose ?The legends gallery has been removed from the exterior of the South stand, and some of the coloured panels and air conditioning units have been painted black.

Absolutely agreed.Bad move IMO. It looks soulless IMO, and the kids agreed. Loved looking at the pictures of the legends (could have added George too). But each to their own, I know.
