The Legendary Jimmy Greaves is still the all-time top scorer for Spurs I think Kane was sold to Bayern Munich. but did not break the record. I am sure Sir Bert will let me know if I am correct or not.
Kane passed him but played far more games.

However Greaves remains the top division's record scorer and will remain so forever.

Yes. Larry Hagman as JR from Dallas advertising Heineken. This must have been the period after the South Stand was built and before the old cricket pavilion was demolished. Late 70s early 80s ?

I noticed the Larry Hagman (JR from Dallas) advert and couldn't quite line up the dates.

I'm sure Dallas was popular in the early 1980's and yet I thought the old cricket pavilion would have been demolished by then.

Just done a bit of delving and the pavilion was demolished in 1981 and Dallas started in 1979 so this advert must have appeared between those dates. The pavilion was still there six years after the South Stand opened!!
The pavilion should have been kept as part of our history, not demolished for a few extra parking spaces. Would have made a great fan zone!

In this photo are shown the buildings where Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Yorkshire County Cricket Club were founded
Yes. The Adelphi Hotel in the right corner of the little car park and just above the dome of the Lyceum theatre was where Wednesday, and I think YCC were founded. There is a blue plaque on Norfolk Row, opposite St. Marie’s showing the offices where United were formed.

You need a friend when wearing chaps like those.
Note - Guns and how they are worn, In this picture and the other you posted.
They are drawing across their body and then having to line up on target. as one generally, physically, lines up the target , allowing best control of the weapon.
After watching Randaloff Scott a time or two, if they came up against him, they'd soon be biting the dust.🤠

We could have done a deal with Wetherspoons. Tim Martin and his team would have turned it into a real money spinner.

Just out of interest I'm not sure if a football club has an arrangement with Wetherspoons.

More likely they’d be biting pillows……..

I have never lost the feeling that that is the proper shape a goal should be. I don’t have the same feeling about any of the modern variants. But I have accepted that a football ground should be 4-sided.
I liked it in the 90s when every ground seemed to have their own style of nets. You could pretty much tell the ground just by looking at the goal.

E.g. you knew it was the Dell if the ball bounced straight back out and you weren't sure if it had gone in or not 😄
