On the left is Sharon who I have not seen for years, next to her is Carl who was from Clay Cross now married with 2 grown up girls and living in Chesterfield, dont know the next two, the blond hair boy is Tim who still lives in Dronfield , not seen him for a few years. Dont know the teacher.

Think it's daughter, says 1900-1901 below it 😥
The owner wrote this..

This is my runners-up medal from the 1901 F A Cup Final.
It belonged to outside right Walter Bennett, who scored Sheffield United's controversial equaliser at the Crystal Palace to make the score 2-2, which is how the game ended

Should the goal have stood, probably not, most accounts say the ball never crossed the goal line, unfortunately referee Arthur Kingscott was convinced it did and the goal stood, luckily it didn't matter as Spurs triumphed seven days later at Burnden Park Bolton to win the F A Cup for the first time.
The medal is inscribed to his daughter Lillian. Tragically, Walter died 7 years later in a mining accident aged just 33

Apparently all the barrels on the rooves are filled with water to help with firefighting. If the building caught fire the rising flames would weaken the barrels and they would dump water onto the blaze below. The area was very dry and built of wood, so fires were a major hazard.

I'd just assumed it was to make it easier to identify the nearest bar 😄

Is there a season for the Chelsea and Gallacher, who was prolific throughout his career, photos?
Thank You.

The Blades defender challenging Gallacher is Percy Thorpe. Percy played against Gallacher 3 times at Stamford Bridge, our keeper for the other two games was Jack Smith. As the caption says that our keeper in the photo is Jack Kendall so the match was played on 18/10/30
