Such a precise answer, I was not aware of that information. Thank you.Wednesday moved to Hillsborough in 1899 so wasn't 1900
Gentleman, Pete.My uncle Pete too and he was born in 1927!
I still do, brought up 1940/50's most, if not all in my circles and local press (especially cartoonist Heap) called it Owlerton. It's probably just about died out by now but Bert can remember when many of them still called it Owlerton.
It's Freddie's avatar.whos our number 10 in this picture silent ?
Should have been at this one,13 and at the time trying to get, home, full season attendances.Any idea on a date for this team group? A few decent players here.

I have no memory of Richairo Zivkovic.Richairo Živković and Charlie Goode
I remember the video on the day we signed Berge. Zivkovic was seen in part of the footage walking about in the car park at Shirecliffe looking like Billy No Mates looking for someone to talk to. Played in one or two brief appearances during the lockdown.I have no memory of Richairo Zivkovic.
Remember Charlie Goode and the sending off.
He was having a decent game to that point, seemed get too carried away and over did the good he was doing.
Remember a Goode, early60's, from Bradford, he was a mad sod.
Thank you Sir, I am grateful and obliged as always.

You are slipping who's legs are between Don Masson's ?Blades 0 QPR 0 February 1976. Don Masson the QPR player. Franks on left and Brown the keeper
I was just a youngster stood with my dear old Dad under the Pavillion. Despite the pain of arthritis in his leg he made sure he took me to the Lane whenever he could preferring to be out of the way of the crowd because of his leg.were any of you lads at the september derby at the lane in 1967 against wednesday ? i know ronnie sharpe has a piece on it in his book bad result thanks to ritchies far post header but what an eventful day that was![]()
Or Ebeneezer as I liked to call him.Richairo Živković and Charlie Goode
they wernt out in force on the kop they were penned in the top right hand corner of the shoreham protected by s.yorks police that was the first game blades fans congregated at the back of the kop at the top wednesday fans got battered with all types of objects when they came through the turnstyles and could only get on the kop via the spiral staircaseI was just a youngster stood with my dear old Dad under the Pavillion. Despite the pain of arthritis in his leg he made sure he took me to the Lane whenever he could preferring to be out of the way of the crowd because of his leg.
Pigs were out in force that day a year after their FA Cup Final. I remember looking and wondering where the Blades were on the Kop and then seeing a sea of red and white scarves behind the goal and all the way up to the top of the Kop. Ritchie scored and we lost 0-1. Didn't realise in my lifetime after I'd only ever see the Pigs beat us once more at the Lane under Blackwell
One of my Dads finest quotes came after the game. Being from Nottingham originally he told me he chose the Blades because all the gob shites on the estate where we lived tended to be Pigs. True to form the offspring of the gob shites appeared when we were walking down Platform A in Pond Street. "I bet you're crying now they said to me" Dad said " they're not crying" and behind them Platform A was suddenly filled with hundreds of chanting Blades marching down the length of the Platform, Pigs scurrying away in all directions. At that moment I was hooked on being a Blade and a sense of belonging came over me as the scrotes from the estate hot footed it away.
