Noel Gallagher bottom left
Could be Fulham 9/9/1978 Woodys last league game
A bit like 1994, a 2-1 win at Anfield didn’t help, we still went down at the end of the season
Great view of the Archibald Leich main stand.

In the first photo can be seen City Surveyor's Sports Ground, top right hand corner, used by Sheffield Corporation City Engineers. I played on there, cricket & football plus sports days, at school, '53-'58.
Coincidentally my maternal grandfathers youngest sibling played cricket, a good medium pace bowler, for SCCE in the same time scale and I used to see his name on the team sheets pinned on the notice board of the pavilion, also discernible in the photo.
Stancliffe and Heffernan. Who's the other visible blades player?

Heart on sleeve defenders, we love em here.Stan Stan Stan the man
If he can’t head vertically straight up in the air, no one can.
Sure l saw him listed as a centre half “legend” along with Murphy Beesley and Page.
With Eddie Colquhoun and Morgs.
The bar is set low by some people.
Heart on sleeve defenders, we love em here.
Bad day at the office that day , was there with several thousand other Blades .. but needless to. Say we had the last laugh in May that season at Turf Moor .. enjoyed flagging off the passing ‘Ull coaches from the pub in Todmorden
Hope for the same performance & result of that day today
