Brunsmeer had pitches all over ,even one at Meadowhead where the hotel is now.
The old Sheffield Transport ground, have they built a hotel on that? Or the old Rowlinson school sports field. Ta.

Jordanthorpe School fields ,as you come down the dual carraigeway before the bus lane into Batemoor. I thought there was talk of Sheffield FC buying the transport ground or have I imagined that ?

With regard to the various comments about Steve the barber who worked at Fantham’s , his surname was Bajdala and he originally worked at Tom’s on Charles Street .

This was a 6 chair barber’s shop and I first went there in either ‘59 or 60 . Steve cut my hair and I asked him to do it in what was then known as the ‘Barister cut’ which was a slightly shorter version of the style popularised by the Beatles some years later

He did such a great job I never used anyone else for at least ten years and when I met him many years later walking in Rivelin Valley he recognised me , stopped for a chat and told me I had the best hair he ever cut !!:)

2 pitches side by side and changing rooms. Sure they were known as James Fairley Steels pitches. Brunsmeer definitely played on them early eighties. They were fenced off from the school pitches.

Fuck me, we’ll be having a best hair competition next, that should keep shoutbox honest....

One player in all three pictures, Revie's henchman.
Second picture, when I see it, always makes me think Bremner saying "Jock I only kicked him"
That should have been a good scrap Big Jack and Dennis the menace. Place your bets.

Denis, all day long...

It is Ure. All the Leeds team were a nasty sneeky bunch.
Absolutely.

ALL OF THEM, including their 'creative players' like Giles, Gray etc who all put the boot in, as and when necessary. It was a different time and most teams had at least one hard man, but they were the exception.

Eleven nasty twats who were as happy to win with strong arm stuff and/or by playing football.

Managed by the biggest corrupt cheat of all.

I did my level 2 with Eddie Gray at Thomas Rotherham college when he became caretaker manager at leeds ,he managed a couple of days then jacked it and resigned as manager. Bit of a nob ,we knew werent as good as him but didnt he let us know.

It was the old James Neil’s ground, that was adjacent to the Jordo School playing fields. The old entrance can still be seen to this day.
The signage re Sheffield Fc’s involvement with the Transport Ground seems to have disappeared.
The 2 pitches there used to be top class, when I was playing in the 70’s/80’s

I wouldn't put Mick Jones in that list but he did take advantage of any skulduggery as in SB's video at Highbury. Would that make him culpable?

Chiltern and Wagstaff were dirty bastards. Blades V hull 1971.for instance.
went to both games that season yeah the home night match against hull was brutal especially mr knighton who kicked tc and anybody in a red and white shirt all over the lane we thought we had blown it that night in march 71 but yeah we had the last laugh

Before my time Gerald Henry played for wendy. the older fans with respect might have seen him. apparently, he used to do em in the tunnel. before the match started.

mick jones was never used by revie as he played for us especially on corners mick used to start his run from corner of 18 yard box and woody would hit the corner at pace bang on to his forehead 12 yards out no better example of that than the goal against man utd boxing day 66 nearly broke back of net on kop end stepney never moved great centre forward of the time was mick jones was devastated when we sold him to leeds
