Yes, 4th December 1971. After beating Ipswich 7-0 the previous week, we lost 5-1 at Palace! Before the match, my dad spotted Tony Mercer sitting near us and asked me to get his autograph. So I went over to him asking for an autograph having no idea who he is! Tony cheerfully signed my programme. Coming back to my dad , I asked "who is he? He didnt look like a footballer!". My dad replied "He is always on the Black and White Minstrel Show!"

Silent, am I right in remembering that regarding that Ipswich victory, it came a week after we'd drawn away at QPR, (the score was either 2-2 or 3-3, can't remember), but the point I'm making is, we scored 2 goals in the last 2 minutes against QPR and 2 goals in the first 2 minutes against Ipswich - making it 4 goals in 4 minutes of play, a club record.?
Or am I losing the plot? Most probably.

2-2 draw at QPR was on March 13th 1971. The 7-0 win against Ipswich was on Nov 27th 1971. The week before was a 3-0 defeat at Derby

Looks a bit like Cloughie in the background. It's unlikely we'd be playing in white v Derby so it could be Forest?
No, the photo was taken in the 1960s. Looks like Stamford Bridge as we were wearing the all white shirts and shorts for all of our matches in the 1967 Cup run

On reflection yes. The writing (partly obscured) may be "Totalisation" and you can make out the rails of the dog track, both of which tend to confirm Stamford Bridge. The bloke at the back still looks like Cloughie though!
