That's right HB...What a finisher Jimmy Greaves was.
It's October 1967 at WHL.
Middle pic is Stan Bowles v TC in the corner at Loftus Road.
Top Picture was 1968 cup Q/F at Elland Road...Tony Wagstaff and Mike O'Grady getting booked.

Are you sure the middle picture isn't Rodney Marsh and TC?

August 21st 1971.

GOAL - v Everton (a) 21.8.71. With nine minutes left Woodward smashed United into the lead with a ferocious shot from eight yards that found the net via the bar and post. The opening was created by Hockey's persistence followed by an intelligent pass and Everton thinking quite wrongly that Woodward was offside.

I missed the game (missed only 3 that season) cos I was on a family holiday in Ayr

I was on a train that day on my way home from Devon. As we pulled in to Bristol I managed to get my portable transistor working in time to hear the final score. The extra bonus was the table of pigs across the aisle found out at the same time that they’d lost.

Yes,Malcolm Macdonald for Luton,I think 1970/71 2-1 United i think..Didn't look upto much when he came to the Lane when we best them 2-1..different story when he came with Arsenal a few years later in the cup though.
I seem to remember him scoring 4 at the sty the same season, I think Luton won 5 - 1 that day. My piggy friends Dad was drooling over him after that match, turned out there was a lot to drool about.

That was one of the games in our great start to the season (and where a group of Everton fans just behind us kept accusing me of being Joe 90 :()

even though I had dark hair!
The next game we were away at Arsenal, where Reece scored after about 3 mins and we had to spend the rest of the game trying to convince a late arriving Italian waiter that the mighty Blades were actually winning.
Maybe our smiles made him think we were taking the piss :)

Bert saw him score both goals in the FA Cup semi final at Hillsborough v Burnley in 1974. He was unstoppable that day.

He was a fantastic goal scorer wherever he played with the perfect physique you’d want from a centre forward.

It was Scullion who scored

There's no legend on the photo (apart from Kenworthy :)), but yes, I'm sure that's Newport County.
Dave Gwyther is the Newport player

I remember that.

Then in the final against Liverpool he did nothing. Bill Shankly's final competitive game as Liverpool manager. Keegan scored a couple as they won 3-0.

Remembered him playing for Rotherham in the late 1970s.

Just been playing catch up on the thread. , just saw your Dave Gwyther answer and was thinking now where did I know him from ? And lone behold SB your Jonnnny on the spot again .. remember going down there in 82-83 season & getting beat 3-1 we were bloody awful
