Bernard Shaw.

John Short (?) in the background
Thanks BB, but I'm a liar it wasn't as clear as crystal, would never have got that. Strongly believe your right with John Short (trainer) background.

My early 80,s post match route , which the obligatory pit stop at The Friary

Great memory of The Friary from that era, possibly chips were a tad too greasy ? But what was the name of that small chippy up from The Howard and The Cossack?

Seem to recall great gravy. A lighter shade of brown, perfect consistency, clearly not packet made dark gloop and almost tangy ( but not heading towards Chinese chip shop style). I used to drink what was left from the corner of the plastic tray until our lass explained she expected more from our Saturday nights out...

Harlequin?

Bonetti, TC, Ron Harris, Eddie MaCreadie? Billy Dearden, Micky Droy?

I'm going to suggest it might be Alan Hudson instead of Micky Droy who I thought came a little bit later??? (though I'm probably wrong*). I reckon Hudson walked that way?

btw, I always liked Chelsea's kit in this era. When they had to change from white sox like against Leeds in the FA cup final replay or us on the above photo?, they wore yellow ones and changed their shorts to ones with a yellow stripe on them to match.

Nice touch

*ps - Yep, wrong again ;)
