Took me ages to work this one out. Then Eureka! Broomhill Tavern. There used to be a 60 bus stop against that wall, occasionally we would walk up Glossop Rd to miss the scrum at the Newbold Rd stop. At that time, mid 50's, ex blade player kept it, can't remember who though. Happy days.

Was there more than one Redgates in town? I only remember the big one that was on Furnival Gate, off The Moor.What year was that? I believe Arundel Gate along with the Hole in the Road was completed in 1968
