Missed them both too. My first match for that season was the 1-1 home draw against Newcastle as I was taken home for the weekendJohnny Morrissey to the left of Joe Royle.
Disappointing start to the season. And yet a few weeks later we were beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and then immediately thrashing Arsenal 5-0 at the Lane with TC doing the ultimate showboating.
