My old stomping ground of belle vue and Wybourn pubs,the picture looks like it's been took from the roof of Hyde park flats.


Probably from the roof behind where the Park Gardeners was/is. If it's still open that is.

Not sure when that was taken but it's after the Cricket was demolished.
 

I don't remember Budgy being a Republican sympathiser or Gerry Adams visiting the Lane. Was it part of the Billy Graham thing?


Unlikely seeing as Billy Graham was a Baptist/ Protestant Evangelist.


It's two shoplifters he met in the bottom of Dixon Lane at 9am on Matchday.

I'm guessing ,this was Budgies 500th league game,that or these 2 are the blokes who repaired the window he broke climbing out of Arthur Coxs office

Was it the 2-2 draw in January 1985? If so, I was there. Tommy Docherty was Wolves manager. The only other thing I remember about the match was John Pender's own goal at the Kop End. Think Tim Flowers was playing
