No it was in March 21st 1970. We lost 2-1 (Glover and Fern for Leicester, Reece for us. Woody scored a good goal late on but the ref disallowed it).
Mine was Leicester too but the season after ,my next was the following week across on the dark side. Weirdly I can name the full team for both sides ,but I cant remember what I had for tea last night.

0-0 in both games. Highlights of the match at Filbert Street were shown on MOTD that night. I remember Len Badger taking a throw in hear the half way line and thundered a return pass against the bar with Shilton well beaten

Might have had this before but what the heck

October 1964. Birchenall had replaced Pace in the previous month as Pace had to have a stomach op. Woody had just got in the 1st team for the first time after John Docherty didnt impress on the right wing after replacing the injured Allchuch. Barry Wagstaff had just got into the 1st team too replacing the injured Richardson but when Richardson was fit again in the following month Barry didnt play in the first team again for the rest of the season

Anyone old enough to own a pair of these? Ankle warmers were a type of lethal weapon. Toe end the old leather ball with these and it went like a cannonball. The studs were nailed in, so it's no wonder shin pads were 2 inch thick!:):)images (9).jpg

My late father as a young sprog. Pre 1920 and family rented 26 Roland Road. Grandfather knew exactly when to do a midnight flit that took them into Lescar territory and onwards
I lived on the next street, Alderson Place.

Just noticed there's no club crest on the shirts. I wonder why that is.
