The good old days when there were 22 teams in Div 1, as I like to think of it and of those, only 10 are there this season.
Of the top ten, five have gone on to be regular fixtures in the top six. The other five are in the championship.
When the clubs, including us, voted for the Premier League most of them signed their own death warrants.

Silent Blade was that when the skys opened up just after the game was over I was walking down Shoreham st towards Pond street got F-ing drenched
It rained for most of the match but dont remember what it was like after the match. That morning I had just come back from a long journey back from a week's holiday in Ayr.

There was a thunderstorm in the 2nd half of our home game against Southampton two weeks earlier

Description says: F.A. Cup Semi-Final, Nottingham, England, 18th March 1899, Sheffield United 2 v Liverpool 2, The Liverpool players leave the field at the half-time interval.

I'm surprised at the clarity of the image. Looks like Needham at the back there (before my time!)

Looks like one of the Liverpool players is wearing a snake belt to hold his shorts up,have to say it's a cracking photo

That's Graeme Crawford - I recognise him out of my 1971/72 Soccer Stars Album!

I don't remember him ever playing though!

UTB
Played in the 1-0 home win against Norwich in Sept 1969 and the 5-1 win at Pompey in Sept 1970. He was signed from East Stirling by Arthur Rowley in the 1968-69 season. When Hodgy was struggling for form in the middle of the 1970-71 season, Harris decided to sign John Hope from Newcastle as it seemed he didnt have much faith in Crawford

And the other one.

The photo of them walking off, from memory, shows Eddie unmarked looking very angry while Boyer was bleeding looking a bit dazed with a torn collar. His hair was a bit of a mess too I think.

I mentioned this to Eddie yesterday, he remembered the incident as "He came at me like a madman with his arms flailing all over the place, I don't know what I did to upset him, but I saw my opportunity and clipped him on his chin, he went out like he'd had a powercut" All said with a wry smile.
