Is that verses Coventry City? FA Cup penalty shoot out victory??

Where were you stood, Silent?
I was in the Bramall Lane End Lower (standing then of course) right on the railings with my Dad. Always remembering him giving me the nod to run on the pitch at the end. Happy days.

BLUT A85. In the summer my dad then bought us season ticket for me and him at same place until 1977

My sister (her first time) came with us as did my mum (whose 6 brothers supported Wendy!)

That's the perfect shot to show why I dislike Old Trafford. An immense auditorium but one you rarely get to appreciate as the roof lines are so low that it's like having blinkers on. I find it oppressive and claustrophobic - no sense of space or grandeur.

If you go to St James you get the opposite - high, lightweight, transparent roofs that give you an awareness of where you are and of the thousands of people around you.

Full o' cunts n' all.

Glad they are her brothers and not your uncles!!

One of the stands at Highbury was like that - post box view. It was awful. It always used to make me very appreciative of what we have at BDTBL - it's really a fucking great ground. Apart from the catering of course :-)

This is a great thread and brings back so many memories since 1946 both on the Blades, first Lane visit and the great City.
I have kept a lot of the images which will go into my photo files known as Old Sheffield pictures and Old Blades pictures.
Looking at the city today and thinking about all the bomb sites even when I started work in 1957 there seemed to be a bomb site on most street corners, no comparison.
I have programmes going back years in my box marked my life as a Blade which my eldest daughter has in her loft.
Such happy memories over many years.
