Charlie George, George Armstrong, (should know but can't remember the big beggar on the left)
 
I originally thought the Arsenal pic was the 5-0 cup defeat in '78,which I was at,but not sure it is as Malcolm MacDonald was no.9 and that looks like maybe Charlie George not Supermac...also not sure Ray Kennedy played in the Cup game.
Bottom one is the 1-1 v City 1972....Silent?

My experience on the day isn't a million miles away from yours.

I had an optician's appointment card with loads of blank spaces on it and so I wrote myself out an appointment for that afternoon.

We had a double history lesson and I approached the teacher at the start, showing him the card and explaining that I'd have to leave when the bell went at the end of the first period. He was fine with it - said to just get up and walk out. The bell went, I stood up to make my exit, nodding to him as I did so. As I was going through the door, someone shouted out: "enjoy the match!"

I stepped on it, never looking back and headed for the ground. I remember being joined on the Kop by my brother and his mate, both of them a year above me at the same school. God knows what excuse they'd used.

There were no repercussions back at school the following day.

The Arsenal pic was in January 1972. We lost 5-0 and Alan Ball wound us up by sitting on the ball. Scorers were George 2, Graham, Simpson and Kennedy. Kennedy was Bill Shankly's last signing at Liverpool in 1974.

Yes, the City match was a 1-1 draw in December 1972. Francis Lee got the marching orders after clashing with Ted Hemsley
