Robert Pershing Wadlow, officially the worlds tallest man at 8' 11.1" tall. He was wearing clothes for 17 year olds when he was five, and he just kept growing. Sadly he died at just 22 years old and to be honest, sounds like he had a miserable life because of his extraordinary height...

Can anyone else remember Roy Castle singing
Robert Pershing Wadlow,
Tallest man the world's ever known,
Robert Pershing Wadlow,
Eight foot eleven, and twenty six stone?

Luton 0 Blades 1 (Currie) in November 1974. The Luton player is Peter Anderson.

He scored for us against Sunderland in 77 or 78. It was one of our very rare MotD appearances.
I think that was his high water mark for us and IIRC, he disappeared off to the US.

ps silent will correct me if im wrong but think peter anderson got our other 2 goals that day

Here's the Sunderland game from the Match of the Day video (much watched when I was a kid!). The whole thing is worth a watch, if you have the time.

Anderson's second goal is excellent. And on the third goal, Jamie Hoyland (as ball boy) gets clattered by Sabella.

It was 3-2. The late Gary Rowell scored first, Peter Anderson scored twice and Steve Finnieston scored the third after a magical assist by Sabella. Bob Lee made it 3-2 near the end

I just moved about 320 miles from Arlington, WA to Walla Walla, WA and it was stressful. We hired a moving company, who did a great job but the drive over the mountains is always risky this time of year. Thankfully we just had biblical rain but no snow so we're here now and settling in.

Not sure how stressful this would be though, looks pretty scary to me...

Finnieston made Shackleton and Tom Davies, look like ever-presents.

The only player we signed with a worse injury record, was John Ebrell. £1m for 45 minutes, it was just so Sheffield United.

Thought those moving vans were a Simpsons joke, when they moved Springfield five miles up the road due to all the rubbish!
