Bob Socks , you and Moose Mulligan were in the Lane Lower tier that night!

this link is a little piece from Donegal TV (its sleepy - Good Fellas, it isn't) but it should run on seamlessly into the 1925 cup final and then that Bury match from 1902.

An early Blades tracksuit modelled by the Irishman himself....

any offers for which ground that is?? (Did the Grinders Stand on Bramall Lane curve round originally??)

Agreed, I reckon they extended the roof of that awkward little corner part of the John Street Stand in the meantime. I like the Wagner bumbling away in the background for a bit of gravitas.

I don't think the 1925 FA Cup Final was linked above, here it is

They held and conducted the heat better so they did a better job of keeping your arse warm in the winter as I recall.
They were flat at the back as well so that the seat in front didn't dig into the taller person's knees.
Bert had to have three kneecap replacements after they changed the seats

Picasso was well known for drawing his beautiful (but about to be ex) lovers and making them all look a bit like Steve Bruce.

I can't think of another football connection, he liked bull fighting.

I always liked the gag about the bloke watching a vote taking place in the House of Commons.

The cry goes up: "the Ayes to the right, the Noes to the left."

"Blimey," he says, "sounds like a painting by Picasso."

They were flat at the back as well

The wooden seats were curved at the back, however, they didn't "lean" back like the current plastic ones do

Woodwaaard also preferred the wooden seats
