Dem werewolves get everywhere
I think it’s fair to say that much as we love him, our Trev is the least legendary of those three![]()
It reminds me of Mike Bassett:I think it’s fair to say that much as we love him, our Trev is the least legendary of those three![]()
My daughter got married last year and held her reception at the Saffrons ground in Eastbourne,..... It was great,.... Just saying. These are the comments attached to the photo:
"English footballer Edward Burgin of Sheffield United F.C., the goalkeeper of the England team, during practice at The Saffrons ground in Eastbourne, UK, 4th May 1954. The team are in training for their upcoming Continental Tour.
May 04, 1954 "
Much too posh for Myrtle Road
Not heard of Walter Brayshaw so I looked up in the Who's who. He was at Denaby United before joining us in 1919. Played 4 league appearances before joining Exeter in 1920. I dont recognise anyone else in the photo, I am afraid.![]()
A photo I've just pinched off the Sheffield History site on FB. Apparently Walter Brayshaw standing 5th from right. The lady posting is his grandaughter and wondered where it was taken. Any ideas Silent Blade ? Is it even us?

One thing that hasn't changed, that front wall is still standing, exactly the same. Wonder who built that, does his offspring visit this site?
Rebuilt and re-pointed (eight copings on the old one, six on the new). Just sayin'.![]()
Look at the fellers on the coach roofs. Believe most are wearing Tam o'shanters, correct my spelling then I'll write it out 100 times, England played Scotland 4th April 1936, Bobby Barclay played inside right. 1-1 draw Carnsell for England. Anyone Scotland? This image was recently found in a loft ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-43782267 ),and apparently depicts fans on the way to our last major Cup Final appearance, a 0-1 defeat to Arsenal in 1936.

Tam O'Shanter is fine. I don't think they are Unitedites either. There are no rattles, rosettes, scarves, giant knives as evidenced by other photographs attributed to the 1936 Cup Final.Look at the fellers on the coach roofs. Can you move it on a few frames, and create a 'Spot the Ball' competition? I'm guessing row Z of the Kop.What happened next, can anyone remember?View attachment 40245
Correct, Bert blames Gerry Young.
Looking at the kit the pigs are wearing I'd guess they went off to Wembley, got 2-0 up and fucked it up royally.
