Hecky to get us over the line from here

Try something different instead of keep doing what clearly isn't working, and change things early instead of when it's too late. Change formation during matches. Change tactics during matches.

That said

"We never change our approach and how we are. We are preparing for another game straight away - that is the good thing about this league."

That's from today's post match interview. So that's my advice flushed down the can! 🤣

Don’t put Osborn in Midfield ever again, I understand he has to be on the bench at the moment to cover wind back but that is all.

Getting to the stage where I would rather see Lunny back.

Tell your midfielders, if the ball goes past them to run back instead of jogging. I love watching Berge and McAtee going forwards but I cannot bear to see players sauntering back as the opposition are breaking on us, as happened lots of times on Wednesday. This is why Osborn gets in the team.

Also, don't go to four at the back. Ever.

Take them all out on the piss, try and do whatever it takes to take the pressure off them and make it fun again, play someone who will actually get a fucking challenge in, and get one of the under 12s coaches to remind the centre halves how to defend.

Put a rocket up Berge’s arse and drill the defence on ball-watching all week.

Looks like they have been drilled on bloody ball watching all week!! Best telling them not to.

What would Wilder do? Well he would certainly not sit there and let the shitshow behind the scenes derail our chance of promotion.

He needs to get on the blower to Bettis and get him to tell the owner to sort their shit out otherwise he's going to start saying in press conferences how crap the club is really being run, from the training pitch, to the heating, to the embargo... otherwise threaten to resign.

The reason Hecky got such a long contract is because the board know he's not the type to rock the boat, well I'm sorry it's time for Hecky to stop being such a coward and speak up imho.

In all honesty we may be too far gone in the season for it to make any difference now, it should have been done months ago.

The club and it's history are bigger than any one temporary owner.

Start by going back to basics and being solid and hard to beat next match. No 3 v 3s at the back.

I feel like we're trying to outscore teams suddenly when our key threats have actually lost form.
Several times today, I expected us to concede straight after scoring/threatening.

Simply, back to basics:
  • Centre halves just focus on being solid and positionally sound for a bit. Nowt else.
  • Wing backs, one stay when the other goes. That's it.
  • Norwood, start to dictate the play again.
  • Berge, get back to how you played end of the season. Be a CAM. Drive forward.
  • McBurnie. Bog hang to fuck. Be a nuisance.

He needs to drop Berge for a while. We need all 11 players fighting. Berge just hasn’t played good enough.
Oh and stop bringing on Osborn early.

Top two with the points difference we had chasing PL football and the players neeed protecting from board level shenanigans?

Maybe Heckys negativity over it all has rubbed on to the players. Maybe he’s not part of the future? If we fuck this up he won’t be anyway. Warnock didn’t go on about a new contract as much.

This is not a Fallowbrain type post, just about the blame lying with the performances on the pitch. Which have, for long spells during games, been apparent for a while.
